Yes WTID fully understand your frustration as do many other but its not all doom and gloom as you suggest
As Polo states things would only get worse with lower prices
We have to compete with local league sides
8th April we play Hereford , Charlton are playing Yeovil and are targeting schools with FREE Tickets
we cannot compete with that.

Incidently KOBE Designs have produced our final run in poster
I have a number of A4 copies of these should anyone wish to push these to local shops etc

That is very generous letting under 125 year olds in for free with an adult.

Can mascots have a go at the half time penalty shoot out.....?!

Luton have taken nearly 2000 to Dartford tonight midweek. Get your Welling v Luton ticket sharpish as it'll be packed given it's a bank holiday weekend.

Not so sure, very likely Luton will have already won the title by then after their victory tonight. Next three matches are all at home, to Aldershot, Tamworth and Braintree. Win all of them and they will have won the league

I've just seen a tweet from a Charlton supporter who has bought a season ticket for him and his son for £200. How can we compete with that?

How old is his son? The only area where we can compete with Charlton and Millwall is the 'kids go free' offer. Other than that, Charlton and Millwall are making a mockery of our ticket prices. One of my mates has just got an adult season ticket at Charlton for £150! He laughed and said it was a joke that at Welling all you get for £150 is a seat for nine non-league football matches....

Unfortunately too much damage has been done by non-league clubs collectively price fixing to make a short term profit (well that  didn't work well!...), only to damage their long term supporter base by allowing League clubs to undercut them.

Unfortunately no miracles are going to happen overnight. Although on matchdays our ground is 80% empty, even giving away all tickets for free wouldn't fill our ground (with the exception of a few games).

We're moving in the right direction by letting kids go free, and therefore help build up a future support base. Paul has, and is also doing a good job by inviting schools down as part of this initiative. Any large matchday ticket reductions might bring more people in but would damage the clubs budget for this season. Unfortunately we can't reduce matchday tickets by much anyway without taking away the incentive for season tickets.

The only feasible plan, as has been mentioned by myself and others is the reduced ticket price for early entry. Say for example £10 if you get in by 1PM. It worked on Non-League Day when we played Bromley. It'd certainly be alot easier to get my mates to come along if I told them it was just a tenner. Plus we'd easily make up the difference at the bar. In turn if we sold more booze at the bar, this would allow us to bulk order more booze at a cheaper price and increase profit margins.

The only snag is how to not do the season-ticket holders out of pocket with this offer. Hypothetically we could maybe do something like a free programme if they flash their season ticket prior to 1pm.

Hopefully IF we do get a good attendance at the Luton game and beat our budget for the season then this might give the club breathing space to do trial the early-entry offer at the Southport game. Otherwise it'll probably have to be left till pre-season.

Although the club have got to do their bit, we've got to be more pro-active ourselves in inviting friends and family along to games, and also helping Paul by handing out leaflets and flyers when they become available.

It's gonna take a while but with hard work we'll start getting attendances into four figures consistently.

Why do we not compete somewhere else in the market like 21 -30 year olds? rather than directly compete with Charlton on kids go free. How many 21-30 year olds do you see at PVR or at football most days? I'd like to see an age poll on here to prove my point.

£10 for 21-30 years would be a great idea to attract this disillusioned segment back into football. Also no other club that I know of does this.

Great article here:
