Chester keeper just did well to hold a Clarke flick from a free kick and a Hudson follow up.

Studs up and late from Gallagher there. Could have just been a booking on another day, but you give the ref the opportunity to give a red making a challenge like that.

BBC trying to claim Jake was sent off for fighting! Not fair on Jake, especially if clubs scouting him see that.

And Karagiannis now subbed for Ajala, after getting booked for lifting his shirt over his head when scoring.

If only Sho-Silva had a left foot we'd be two up! Flicked it with the outside of his right instead and missed the goal.

Lovely run and perfect cross from Wakefield, and a lovely crisps volley from Ross.

Full time two nil to Welling. A fantastic team performance after being down to ten men for most of the match.

Superb performance.

We could have been two up in the first half, with Clarkie and Basile both having excellent chances. I'm of the opinion that the red card was the correct decision. Jake caught the player above the ankle with his studs and my immediate reaction was that he'd be off. Certainly if it had been the other way round, we'd have all screamed for a red. A silly challenge in that part of the pitch but if you take that aggression and will to win out of Jake you'll be left with half the player. He'll learn and we'll be better for it.

Basile - wow, I'm excited. It's been a long time since we had a left-footed, out and out left winger with pace. He stuck a couple of excellent crosses in so hopefully a sign of things to come. Ajala was also superb when he came on. Roscoe looked to be having a bit of an off-day - a rare occurrence but he's played a hell of a lot of games and picked up knocks. Credit to him, he kept plugging away and bagged a goal with a great first time finish. Defensively we looked solid and Butch never really had a meaningful save to make. Chester didn't look up to much but I hope they stay up as it's a great away trip.

Daisy signing a new 2 year deal is fantastic news. A real statement of intent and long may the Day era continue! COYW

Really good game of football today. Together with some decent weather and three points. Smiles all around

Great performance. If we have Karagiannis and Ajala next season we should have some exciting options. Thought Rossco looked a bit rusty at the start but got better as the game went on.
Thought Sho-Silva worked his socks off and Taylor had a much better game today.
Didn't get a clear view of Jake's sending off but whatever, I hate seeing players run 25 yards to get in the refs face. In my opinion it should be treated as dissent and come with a yellow card.
Great news about Daysy - was starting to become a concern but it is apparent how much he loves managing the club when you talk to him.

Thought the red card was probably fair.  Late, studs up.  Seen him get away with a couple like that at other times in the season, but not today.  He is an important player for the team, and I guess you have to accept the odd challenge like that with him.  The ref was left in doubt what Gallagher and Clarke felt about the decision though.

Great performance with ten men.  Two cracking goals.  The first one very well taken by Karagiannis.  The second one good work from Wakefield (sparking a mass exodus for the Chester fans).

Brilliant news about Jamie Day's contract extension.
