His words on our parting were along the lines of "All I need now is to win the Bonus Ball."
"It would certainly cap a fine weekend", I replied as he jogged briskly past me outside the Guy.
And lo it has come to pass that the winner of Saturday's Bonus Ball draw was the speaker of those fateful words, one Roy Davidson of Welling, who scooped the latest £50 prize with winning ball number 29. Congratulations Roy.
There are two chances left this season to claim the winning Bonus Ball prize. Simply stop me outside the refreshment hut at the remaining two Saturday home matches: the Luton early kick-off and Southport late kick-off for your chance to also win £50. The winner will be whoever selects the Bonus Ball in those evening's main Lotto draws on BBC television. Each ball costs £2 each.
Alarm clocks ready for the next Bonus Ball game at the Luton match on Easter Saturday (19th April). I'll be the bleary-eyed one.
