You could be lucky and hit the jackpot or you could end up like Aldershot, Hereford, Macclesfield and Salisbury (and probably some others). I'd rather Welling lived within their means. I'd hate it if a small company went bust by us going into administration and then restarting as AFC Welling with no debt.

Not on "long contracts", Mark - just on one-year contracts. I see that Dean Wells of Braintree signed a contract for this season even though he knew that Stevenage wanted to sign him - and they did, and Braintree copped £25,000.
