According to reports, Luton has reaped £600,000 plus add-ons for striker Andre Gray. Nice business considering they picked up Ross for f all.  I hope we have people on contract and demand a fat fee if they come calling again - they can afford it now.

The only way to get players on long contracts is by paying them big money. You could be lucky and hit the jackpot or you could end up like Aldershot, Hereford, Macclesfield and Salisbury (and probably some others). I'd rather Welling lived within their means. I'd hate it if a small company went bust by us going into administration and then restarting as AFC Welling with no debt.

Not on "long contracts", Mark - just on one-year contracts.  I see that Dean Wells of Braintree signed a contract for this season even though he knew that Stevenage wanted to sign him - and they did, and Braintree copped £25,000.
