Bar opening on match days

After watching the World Cup final down the ground, and enjoying the great bar that we now have I was concerned with the following. On match days the bar will remain open to the public before kick off and I believe that general public will be refused entry to the ground at a cut off point prior to the game, call it 2 hours. My concern is those that are already in the ground prior to this point. How do we ensure that they are not able to watch the match free of charge?

Why don't you contact the club/the Wings sports bar and ask them? I'm sure they will have sorted this out already?

I had a quick chat with Marcus and it seems all a bit in the air. (It was at the time). Posting on here as I know others such as Matt and Paul may have thoughts on it. I as you hope that all has been agreed.

I do have views on this matter , which I have shared with the club , its now in their hands to orgainise with the Wings Bar
I dont think the comments on here regarding we dont care about Erith are justified , I believe both parties should be working together on many projects
as they are not going anywhere but that is for the boards and management at both clubs to work on

Surely on a Saturday the bar can just be for people who are watching the football? The bar will get plenty of business from the football crowd so just make it you can only get in on match days by buying a Welling ticket?

Every other day it is free for anyone to use and after 5pm when games finish

I have to disagree. The comments are entirely justified as they are our views.

As you say, the boards and management at BOTH clubs need to work together and until they care, why should we?

Erith have hardly been helpful regarding opening their own bar to serve supporters during Welling matches have thay? There are some short-sighted people regarding the Erith / Welling links. Surely the clubs can work together for common benefits?

The point being this is a Welling United forum. In my humble opinion I believe people that want a drink in the bar on a Saturday when E & B are at home are interested in drinking not trying to sneak in and watch football, best way around that is to block stand entrance and put Harris fencing up that is covered. Job done

Went to last weeks game against the Gills and when I went into the bar I thought I was in the wrong place. What a transformation. Very Impressed
