"Recent events with other clubs this summer has illustrated how difficult it can be to run a lower league football club and it is essential that the directors can rely on funding commitments made."
Recent events actually show that if you spend what you have, not what you might get, it is achievable. If you spend or commit to spend money you do not have and cannot generate it is substantially more difficult. Perhaps if there was a bit more humility and a bit less willy waving over being 'big clubs', 'deserving to be this and that' or rattling on about 'rightful places' etc we might all have a better competition where success is sustainable and can be enjoyed!
