Personally I thought we were second best in the first half, poor effort by Butch letting the free kick go through him. Can argue with both sending offs as it was plain stupidly by both players. Referee was shocking and the assistant on the E&B side never once made a descision for himself. As for Obafemis yellow card for diving, he was in front of the defender and slowed allowing the defender to push him over, personally I think he was looking for a penalty and his over dramatic response to the push in the back lead to the ref think it was a dive. Again the assistant made no call. Was this a point gained or two dropped, one thing is for sure if we perform like we did against Telford on Tuesday v Torquay and next Saturday v Halifax I think we will suffer heavy defeats. Won't stop me going to both matches though. Let's hope it was just first game nerves for a few of the new guys

Obafemi may have slowed down but there is no law that says he cannot change speed and the defender pushed him over. He may well have been looking for it but it was definitely a push and should have been a penalty.
Haven't seen it yet, but I think the ball went through the wall, so in my eyes that responsibility lies with those in t he wall - that's what it's there for.
With two new lads up front (and presumably having hardly trained with the squad) it is going to take a few games for things to click.
However against nine men for the best part of 35 minutes (both reds deserved for sheer stupidity) we could and should have done more. What baffled me most was the sheer tactical naivety - they had a back four all of whom were well over six foot and basically defended the width of the box. They let our full backs get to thirty yards from goal and cross the ball to our not very tall strikers and headed the ball away - repeat until fade.......From my memory those crosses yielded once chance in the entire game which Beautyman somehow missed. With no KSA in the starting line up then, as others have suggested, why not throw one of the centre backs forward at the end to try and create some problems for them?? We need to try and open them up by passing through them but Healy was pushed too far forward and didn't get on the ball enough as a result. Telford were well worth their point and no amount of whining and whingeing about time wasting will change that - had we be in the same position I would have expected us to run the clock down in exactly the same way.
So a disappointing result at the end of the day but a chance to learn a few things for the future/
Biggest problem for me was I didn't think we had a standout player. Last year at Wrexham I thought Dyer was excellent. I just hope the fact we have so many new players it will take time to gel and work out each other's play. Ref had a shocker and we won't play many team like Telford this year, which is a plus.
