This from the Hereford United Supporters Trust:

"The Hereford United Supporters Trust (HUST) fully support and endorse a peaceful protest to take place by Hereford United fans next Wednesday, October 8th, at Aggborough when Kidderminster Harriers take on Welling United in a Conference Premier match televised on BT Sport.

Following on from a fan suggestion, HUST spoke to their counterparts with the Kidderminster Harriers Independent Supporters Trust (KHIST) and, after approval of the Kidderminster Board of Directors, and from the Police and local safety group, it has been agreed that Bulls fans will be allocated the away terrace (South Stand) at Aggborough for the match.

Bulls fans will take part in a peaceful protest bringing attention to the current situation at Hereford United that sees dozens of former employees still without pay and basic tax documentation from their time working for the club money that was supposedly demanded by the Southern League to be paid before the club kicked off the season while banned owner Tommy Agombar remains heavily involved at the club despite failing the Owners and Directors Test.

The game takes place on Wednesday, October 8th, kicking off at 7.45pm.

HUST
1st October, 2014."

So where will the away supporters be located?

We were given the end seating section on one side as well as the terrace last season so I guess that's where the Welling fans will be housed.

Won't cause a problem for Welling fans given we'll have 20 there tops I would have thought.

However, Hereford you are taking the pi55 and ruining one of the biggest nights in Welling's history with our first televised game, and snatching a considerable amount of the publicity before, during and after the game, from Welling towards your "plight". Disgraceful.

Strange the club are allowing them to do this. Will distract from the football and who can guarantee a peaceful protest remains peaceful?

This has nothing to do with Kidderminster, nothing to do with Welling and nothing to do with BT Sport.

Kidderminster are probably after a bigger gate receipt so they are letting it happen and maybe hoping if the msm pick up on the protest (doubtful) then they might get some free publicity

I wouldn't want other fans protesting something at PVR when it has nothing to do with us

Surprised it is being allowed.
The irony that its segregated I expect to prevent trouble, yet they half invite trouble by allowing a protest, peaceful or otherwise, from fans not even involved in the match being played.

I would have thought that this would have generated more interest in the game? Well done Bulls supporters - a great way to get your message across on behalf of players and staff.  I would hope that our supporters would do the same if the Wings had problems like this. Some of us did our bit when our club had financial problems, but what other options do supporters have when their financially stricken club is faced with being wound-up and then taken over?  It is not their fault, and Hereford's plight is certainly not the fault of its fans. It is time supporters did assert themselves more in these situations by holding demonstrations, boycotts and picketing - good luck to them in their bit of direct action and well done to Harriers' supporters for their solidarity.

it is bound to cause problems and then the cameras will spend more time on them than the actual football. And even if there isn't constant chants about their club will be a massive distraction

Absolutely stupid decision from Kidderminster to let it happen

It is not their fault, and Hereford's plight is certainly not the fault of its fans.

I agree but not our fault, Kidderminster's, BT Sport's or the Conference's either. Imagine 100 Welling fans protesting at a Dartford match? I bet Kidderminster and the police are only allowing it so they can police it. It's all about publicity but I can't see what that's going to achieve. I doubt the high court will take it into account. Protest at the FA HQ, council, high courts where the decisions are made  - but at a neutral game?

Opportunist, Gary. It is up the road a mite and it is being televised.  I hope, in the same situation, our fans would go to a televised Dartford match to protest and (hope upon hope) that Darts fans would show solidarity and vice versa.

Can't say I agree. Welling fans protesting at Dartford for example, I am sure we'd be told to f off fairly quickly. Why are Kidderminster and Welling being dragged into this debate?

The sad bit is i can't see Kidderminster stopping it as its more bums on seats = ££££££'s plus TV money in all a nice earner for them.

Interesting that on "Harriers Online" almost every Kiddy fan that has posted is in favour of the idea and welcomes the Bulls' fans - one has even suggested giving the Hereford fans a standing ovation.

Does anyone know whether Welling receive a portion of the gate money?  If so we should benefit too as the Hereford fans are likely to swell the numbers for what would otherwise be a lower than average  Kiddy gate attending a Tuesday night game being shown live on TV.  I would think the last thing the Bulls' fans would want to do is to cause any trouble when live on the telly, surely that would be counter-productive to the object of them going to the match.

I remember we organised a collection for them when we played them played them last season.  Perhaps they will assist what's likely to be our small number of supporters by cheering us on!

Why would Welling be getting any of Kidderminster's home gate money?

More to the point, how much BT money will the Wings get - and how much of that will go into Jamie's budget?

More to the point, 2000 Hereford turn up early, take over the away end and then the 20 or 30 of us can't get in. What precautions are being taken against that (and how do you tell I'm Hereford or Welling if I really want to get in unless I tell you, if they are three way segregating?)

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe last season the home team received £10k and the away team £1k for each televised match. Peanuts, but the greater value lies in the exposure it will hopefully generate.

Full respect to the Hereford fans. Know we would do the same if we were in the same position.

I hope a few ales and some scampi fries are shared with the Welling 20.

Hi chaps, Bulls fan in peace, here...just wanting to explain one or two things that will hopefully clarify our position and explain the purpose and the likely impact of our protest at Aggborough next week.

The saga of our tribulations throughout 2014 is a long and complicated one; too long to recount here. Can I direct you to the excellent bullsnews.blogspot.com site or to Bulls banter where there will be many happy to give a succinct and accurate account of all that has gone on.
Suffice it to say, the idea that our current predicament is not the result of reckless overspending in pursuit of promotion, but of a callus and spiteful Chairman who refused to pay his staff and who buggered off to his holiday home in Barbados whilst the fans tried to raise money to pay his tax bill. He then refused to sell to a fans consortium, preferring instead to deal with a convicted criminal who has since failed the FA's 'Fit and Proper' test but steadfastly ignores their instruction not to have anything to do with the club in order to call the shots. Our new owner's first two actions as majority shareholder were to try to get the leases of our prime city centre location transferred into his own name and to refuse to pay any of the football creditors, resulting in our expulsion from the Conference. His subsequent actions were equally suspicious and he and his associates have completely alienated the fans with lie after broken promise after lie.

The upshot is that our supporters trust have backed a boycott of the club under its current ownership until such time as the club begins to meet its moral and legal obligations.

To make matters worse, our concerns have been totally ignored by all and sundry with any legal authority to make a difference. The FA and the Southern Football league in particular have been particularly noticeable in their refusal to implement their own rules and to exercise governance over their member clubs.

Trust me when I say that boycotting the club you have supported all of your life is no easy thing. We have no football team to follow any more and no football to watch each week. With the lack of action from the football authorities, it is essential that we therefore try to exercise whatever action we can to make other football fans and the wider community aware of what is really going on at Hereford united.

It is not our intention to ruin your day out at Aggborough nor to hijack the game for our own ends, but we do need to highlight our situation.
Kiddy have traditionally been among our most local enemies, but their trust is aware of all that is going on and they understand that some things transcend mere footballing rivalry. Any club could find itself in the same position as us; at the mercy of unscrupulous owners who have no feeling for the club, no understanding of the history and no empathy for the fans. They are only in it for themselves, be that an ego trip or something even more threatening. The only ones who really understand and who matter are those who make the club what it is - the fans.

It is for that reason that our protest is supported by KHIST.

We (real HUFC fans) feel bereft, abandoned by the footballing authorities and powerless to regain our club and to have it run in a way that will make us proud regardless of the league we are in or the success we are enjoying on the pitch. But we won't, we can't, give up. We need to make our voices heard and I hope you will understand and join us in our cause, to return lower league football to those who really deserve it.

The protest itself shouldn't interfere with the game next Wednesday. Some banners, some singing, some peaceful protests, yes. But the real football family, made up of the lifeblood of the game at its grass roots level, need to stick together on this. Your understanding of our plight and our reasons is imperative, your support is sought. After all, next time it could be you.

Thank you.

It's just a case of trying to get our message out to as wide an audience as possible, to dispel some of the myths about why we find ourselves where we are and what the fans are doing about it and to try to shame the FA into exercising appropriate governance of their sport.

Various ideas have been mooted, such as a minutes applause at 24 mins (reflecting the fact that HUFC were formed in 1924) or turning our backs on the game at 39 mins (the current incarnation of the club run by the crooks is 1939 Ltd). As soon as this is all agreed and finalised, I will let you know - it would be awesome if the fans of Welling and Kiddy could join us in such actions as it would force the commentators to, well, comment on it and explain what it's all about!

I sympathise with your position and I would hate for it to be our club.
However, would you be there protesting if the TV cameras weren't there? No.
I think its a shameless attempt to gain exposure for your cause, although it just, at the expense of a smaller club who should be getting their moment of limelight.
With all due respect Hereford's problems are nothing to do with Welling.
I dont get all this "football family" stuff.
I hope you manage to resolve these issues. I just wish you wouldn't feel the need to piggy back on someone else's games to do so. There are other avenues.

I never got the 'football family' stuff until this hit us either. However, believe me when I say, this could just as easily be you as us and you would be amazed and grateful for the support that you will get from the most unlikely of sources. We have had real and tangible help from fans of Newport, Kiddy, Wrexham and Chester - all traditional rivals. Their understanding and assistance have been, and continue to be, one of the very few lights in the very dark place that we find ourselves.

Of course, the TV cameras are a lure for this game, but the protest won't affect the match nor the coverage in any significant way. What it may do is make a few more people aware of the plight of HUFC and it's fans. We need that more than you can imagine, believe me.

I dont doubt that, but to think that the protest won't detract from the coverage of Kiddy v Welling is wrong. It will. Otherwise you wouldn't bother going.

I do find it mildly amusing that there seems the supposition that we have never had issues surrounding our ownership and therefore can't understand. Granted we have never had an outright charlatan involved but I don't think anyone could fairly say (including the owners if under oath!) that everything has been whiter than white and a smooth road even if, to the outside world, things seem to have improved a bit lately.

Maybe not the game, but how about the travelling supporters who will be segregated from home fans but not have an away end to use?

All the TV attention will be centred on things not Welling United on our first ever 'live' game on the box.

I assume they have told the club. It's not the club who are going to be crowded out of the directors box/dugout/pitch, because they are letting Hereford supporters take over those areas, is it? A common courtesy to the supporters, I would have thought.

Of which we were not one, I'd hazard a guess.

Unlike yourselves we have not had a live TV game previously. I know it wasn't live but would your folklore be quite the same had 2000 opportunistic Accrington Stanley supporters turned up for your game against Newcastle in 1972. I suspect it may have led to a somewhat different atmosphere.

Answer this one. If you are all boycotting Hereford United FC and the current owner has no intent of doing anything the logical end game is that Hereford United FC will more than likely fold, therefore requiring a phoenix club. Presumably you are expecting him to blink before then, otherwise you are mainly delaying the road back by not forming an alternative already. If he does blink, can't see it would be debt free or that he'd make you a particularly attractive offer if he is not forking out his own cash in the interim. Don't see an end game where you win.
