It's not our live TV debut. We've been on the box on the old cable effort Wire TV (I think) at least twice before v Slough at home and v Dagenham away. Granted, the viewership was up there with Eldorado and Albion Marke,t but I make tonight's match our hattrick.

Wasn't Slough on Sportscast or something like that?

Welling Utd 0-2 Slough was Friday 21st Feb 1992 live on Sportscast (began in 1991 I think).
Dagenham & R 0-0 Welling Utd was 4th April 1995 on WireTV.

Both channels, I would guess, were as bad as our two live performances.

Looks like the BFI has some footage archived from Sportscast (not us though);

0-2

Can't believe how unlucky we've been! Never seen anything like this.

Kidderminster have had one chance but got two goals! One from an unfortunate deflection, the other from an own goal we couldn't do anything about.

We've hit the bar and post, quite a few shots and got nothing for it so far.

Epitomises our season so far.

Listening to BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester. Even they cant believe that Kiddy are winning 2-0. BBC stats. 58% possession to Welling.  6 shots on target to Welling 4 to Kiddy. We`ve hit the post twice too. Obviously we really have to start converting these chances.

Welling are playing well and had plenty of the ball. Very unfortunate to be 2-0 down.

After Kiddys first goal, we really played well. Ball on the ground and not hoofed. Disappointed with Henly, what on earth did he think that he was doing? Should have caught an easy ball in, then stayed in his area instead of rushing out. Needless booking and hopefully Jamie will have a good talk them all at half time. We are still in the game if we play the way we did earlier.

Shame not to come away with at least a draw.

The lads have the ball away a bit too easily after Beautyman's goal but that just shows the difference in energy levels between a full-time side and part-time side.

Good perfermance overall. If we iron out the odd schoolboy errors and keep playing that we'll be fine.

Keep the faith lads.

On that performance, how is it that Kidderminster is in the top half of the table?  We played the football but gifted them two goals.

Agree with that. We deserved a point . Stupid second goal to give away, but that is football. All credit to the lads for a good performance.

All I can say is "Well done lads" by the sound of the BBC commentary you played well and were the better side for most of the game. Im sure Jamie will remind them again about finishing those chances.  I couldn`t watch the BT coverage so I`ll wait to see the comments of those who did.

I really hate the 'plucky' Welling bit.....thought we were good for a point but a 5 year old keeper error......that was shocking.....we move on to keep the home record going!

Jamie was deffo man of the match and Basselle made a huge difference when he came on. He should start instead of being a sub, but in place of?  Hope Faz is OK

Error(s) aside, we were good value tonight. Marsh looks better every game he plays. Perhaps Daisy should field himself more frequently. Thought we were the better side, and we're part time. That said we've got to turn these good performances into wins. I wouldn't be surprised to see JT between the sticks on Saturday.

Despite the result, gave a good account of themselves on the box. Anybody local watching that must have been tempted to get down to Park View Road in future.

That might explain Daysie's beard this season.

My favourite bit last night was Mark Clemmit's

Ask a silly question exchange with Barry Ashby:

"So, Barry, what do Welling have to do here?"

"Score..."

Quality.

Very proud of the performance last night. Had it not been for ANOTHER huge goalkeeping error we would have been worthy of at least a point.

I thought all the lads put in a shift and we dominated the game in midfield. Jamie "Pirlo" Day had an excellent game, Beautyman never stopped running but motm for me was undoubtedly Fagan - this kid looks a real player and we have to find a way to accommodate him in the team? Marsh was a little isolated up top but we created the better chances and hit the woodwork twice as well. However we also could have lost a man first half if the referee had seen Bush's "challenge"..

At least we showed what we are capable of but we need to cut out the simple errors. I am sure Daisy and the management team would rather have points every week over plaudits.

Very good performance by the team, shame about the errors but saw enough be encouraged for Saturday and a good turnout of supporters to the Wings bar to watch the game.

Unfortunately with such a young inexperienced team errors will occur, no point getting on the players backs about it, I'm sure they know the could have done better. If Jamie's legs are up to it I'd have him in the team every game. Hope Faza's injury isn't to serious and is back soon. I've been saying for the last 2 seasons, if we get the ball on the ground and play passing football we are as good as anyone in this league, nice to hear the pundits say exactly the same at halftime.
