Good luck for the rest of the season. Its easy to blame the pitch for a defeat but there is nothing wrong with it. I actually thought Welling were quite poor bar a couple of players but hey ho thats football. 3G is here to stay so I think everyone will just have to accept it. Many teams have loved playing on the pitch however its always the losing teams that seem to moan about it.
After reading many comments about the pitch these two made me laugh, posted prior to the match.

Good draw. Should be a decent attendance which we get half of, gives many of our fans who cant travel up and down the country to see us away the chance to get a away game in so hopefully a decent following for us. And a decent pitch which we cant complain about as the lads have the facilities to train on same surface at our training ground. Of course they will be well up for it but if we play like we have in recent games i think it will be a good day for the wings. #coyw

A winnable tie for both sides but at least we know the pitch will be ok and we can pass the ball on it as opposed to Brislington last season.
Had all of our team shown the commitment that the Maidstone players did, it might have been a different story. For some reason they decided not too, and on the day we were beaten fair and square by a better side. Lets hope we can put this behind us, and keep our place in the league. I'm sure Maidstone will be joining us in the not too distant future.

How does it give us an advantage? Surely everyone has an advantage playing at home as they are used to the pitch whether it be grass or 3G! Also, funny your manager was slagging the pitch off but in a previous interview (when you beat us pre-season) he said it was good. Funny that

No i'm not actually thank you very much! Surely, if you play on the same pitch for each home match that gives you an advantage?! You play on it a number of times in a season and the away team only plays on your pitch once? Every grass pitch is different!
You play on your 3G pitch every other week. Your opponents play on it once. You get to play on grass every other week though have to switch between the two surfaces. Might affect your away home but you have a definite advantage at home if you're the only team that have 3G!
Have to say unlike previous plastic pitches i think 3G is here to stay for reasons of climate and multi-use. Am still surprised the Authorities have buckled quite so readily perhaps they've seen the writing on the wall.
