Ok so we change the price from £15 to £12 and based on us getting a gate of 500, we would need an extra 125 people just to break even. That's never going to happen.

We reduce the price = less income from gates = lower playing budget = worse results = people moaning about the team and relegation.

The topic has been discussed so many times that it's getting boring.

A lot of clubs can afford to lower prices, we can't.

Its about getting people through the gate, you saying its never gonna happen is utter rubbish im sorry but you don't know that for a fact....it could well happen with a good advertising campaign. And so if we do just break even with 150, thats still more support and maybe they tell their friends and build from there.

The reason why Fulham, Charlton and all the other teams who get mentioned on here for having cheaper tickets can do what they do, is because they get 10's of thousands people going to games, not a few hundred.

Dropping the price by £3 would not get another 125 people on the gate, meaning overall we would lose money.

Again a good advertising campaign could bring people in but would cost a lot of money. One way forward could be to see if sponsor's will contribute to cover the potential loss of revenue if we dropped the price for a game. After all more people coming into the ground see their advertising means a potential win for the sponsors.

Polo is right the reason for bigger clubs being able to reduce prices.

Correct me if im wrong but don't both clubs have to agree a price for the london senior cup matches as the gate money gets divided.??

BUT as a Fulham season ticket holder i'd like to say that Fulham made this free to season ticket holders however if you bought your ticket on the day the price was increased to£15 Adults, £10 Over 65s & Young Adults & £5 Under 16s on the day.
So in a way jamison is right but on the day the adult prices we're the same as Welling's.

On a lighter note - dispite the result Patsy said 7 goals for £5.00 thats value for money and was the only one in the Fulham end that was cheery !!!

Fulham and Charlton etc. also make money from their catering and bar, we don't now.
The price drop to boost gates, lose money on the gate, but make it back over the bar, etc, is long gone now.
