Nil nil at half time. We're the better team, and really should be in the lead.

Final score nil nil. Should have scored first half when we were on top. Second half much more even.

I guess I've gotten rather out of touch with things, was Macclesfield a team wee would expect to beat normally?

At least there was more fight in the team today. At the beginning of the season I think we would have taken a point against Macclesfield.

You're right Mark, PVR seems to have been quite a fortress, so I guess a point from a top 6 team sounds better than I thought. It also appears to me that the squad seems to have been hit by injuries etc, - so many unfamiliar names....... Makes me think that once again the Wings are working very hard with a limited resource, a credit to the management and the squad under adverse conditions.

I see, ok makes sense. Are they just the normal red card suspension (3 games?), or something more "Bitey Suarez" like?

Just heard Daisey speaking on Radio Kent, he states that no money is available and we will have to go with what we have got until the January transfer window when, hopefully, some money may be available. Therefore, do not expect any new faces!

I was very pleased today, and a good turnaround from Dartford. Overall we had the best of the game and chances. Effort was very good from all, I thought Fyfield was outstanding at left back, and Fagan and Chambers paired well at cb. Barney also had another good game. Penny ran his socks off, unlucky not to get off the mark today.

No money available means a budget cut I guess....players gone back after loans and some moved on......all a bit desperate.....need to keep everyone fit and non banned

Lads put in a good effort today, much more energetic in the final 3rd (wonder why) happy with the clean sheet. Just need to kick on now, they were a very organised team and we matched them.

For a 0-0 it was a good game and the players showed a good attitude. Fyfield was truly outstanding...surprising only one of the 2 match sponsors gave him MOM. Would have taken a point at kick off. Not enough to get us out of bottom 4 though. Att 508...that is the real problem!

Improved performance today. Penny did well and was looking for the ball in the right areas but it was too direct for him at times. Good centre half pairing and Fyfield did a good job job at left back. We were lumping it at times but with a limited squad it was at least a point. Didn't think Macclesfield were a top seven team but it was like a conference game of old.

I too thought it was a good game, and if it wasn't for some great saves by their keeper and defender we would have scored. My first time to see Charlie Penny and I was pleased with his performance, especially in the first half. Our defence was solid and Fyfield was brilliant going forward. We smothered the midfield which caused Macclesfield problems. Again, I thought the midfield all put a shift in as well and their work rate was commendable. Not always happy with the ball being passed around the defence and the keeper but maybe it shows confidence between them all. Fyfield for me was man of the match, but all players done well and in my opinion can hold their heads high for a solid performance.

Attendance of 508???????????? Definately a lot more than that in the ground. The E&B stand holds 600 and may have had about 150-200 empty seats add to that all those standing around the ground 100+ then that would around 500, add those in the main stand about 100-150= 600+. Who actually counts the crowd coming in to the ground through the turnstiles?

Gritty performance yesterday. The youngsters are really doing well for us in difficult circumstances.
Penny was excellent first half, but became isolated in the second; once Hudson came on there were signs of a good understanding between the two.
I think Fyfield is wasted at centre back - when he's played in midfield or full back he's looked excellent.
If we can get Penny fully match fit and find him a strike partner (he can't do it on his own), I'm confident we'll start winning again - hopefully starting with next Saturday. COYW!

Much improved compared to Tuesday night - though most of our threats came from corners rather than in open play. Penny has been a revelation for us, once he grabs one he might start smashing them in. We need to feed him better though, hes a different style of striker to those who have been playing in that role.

What a tremendous display by such a young side - a point was the very least they deserved, it could have been 3-0 or even 5-0. A number of contenders for man of the match but Jamal and Charlie spot on. Jamal just seems to get better in every new position/formation he plays in.  As for Charlie, what a terrible shame he had that pre-season injury which kept him out for so long - he would have been on fire now. Charlie's movement and position sense reminds of a combination of Andy Pugh and  Terry Robbins. As for Aristide B., there are times when opposition defenders find him absolutely unplayable - hence the fouls which either went unpunished or not punished as severely as merited.

Agreed that Saturday was a step in the right direction. When the other lads learn how to play with Penny then we should see the benefit of his movement and sharpness. As has been said already amazing what a different game football is when you have movement and effort in the ranks....Charlie was obviously tired second half (along with others) after his second full game in less than a week and we have to be careful not to burn him out before he has already started. Pleased to see Fagan back in the team and I just hope he stays fit and can get a run of games under his belt. Can't argue with Fyfield as motm (although centre half is still his proper position) and Corne and Bassele at times were also plus points for me.

One down side was a senseless yellow card for Healy. I am a big Healy fan but that was just ludicrous and I think means he misses the next game?? The captains armband seems to bring out the worst rather than the best in some....

The crowd figure quoted in the press was an absolute joke. Now I am not claiming that we have thousands of fans (more's the pity) but at least give a realistic figure. I have been going to PVR for long enough now to give a reasonable estimate of the crowd based on the capacity of the two stands and how populated they are and I think Saturday was a fair bit more than 508...

Healy is out according to the FA site, and both Jefford and Fyfield are 1 away. Not ideal with the fixtures we've got coming up!

I think Gallagher is back on Saturday. As for Joe Healy I don't really like him playing on the left anyway as without a Jack Obostellar bombing on behind him we have no pace on the left.

Fyfield bombed on pretty well against Macclesfield and Jefford has been doing this too. Would rather have Healy in the team than out of it but agree he does look isolated at times on the left. That said we're normally well stocked in central midfield (with the Manager playing anyway). Centre forward maybe with Penny cutting in from the right! Oh dear that then leaves the left..

If Penny is right footed then surely we'd prefer him cutting in from the left?!!

Maybe but what I really meant was not necessarily being tied to the wing. If he switches we then have to fill the right side berth under my scenario!
