Cracking appointment in my view. Experience at a number of levels and also bringing in an assistant whose played in the premier league.

Well done to the club and welcome Jody Brown.

Grays fan here ,please don't think this is sour grapes because he has left us in the lurch no one begrudges any manager who wants to progress however all that glitters is not gold,he may possess all the shiny sparkly coaching badges but as a judge of players and man management he has a long way to go.Released a lot of promising young players and brought some that did nothing to improve the side.

Made some tactical errors that cost us games lost a lot of support from the fans,we were quite frankly shocked that he got a job in the Conference as he has no proven track record,Glen Little was not our assistant manager but he was probably the best player I have seen in a Grays shirt but he rarely played a full 90 minutes was effective when he did play, can't see him playing at Conference level.

Hope it works out for you guys but I have a feeling it will all end in tears, good Luck for the rest of the season always enjoyed our games and visit to your club.

If the Club had announced at the game (and if anyone had been able to understand said announcement) that an announcement was imminent, and if the main site was accessible, then there may have been more messages left.

Welcome Jody

Yep, welcome Jodie - but please forgive a bit of indulgence; Jamie Turner, media star. Another brilliant interview accompanied by the Jamie Turner shuffle.  The bloke is a natural and brilliant for morale.

Am I the only one that has concerns regarding the appointment of the new manager Im hoping our committee did their homework on him, agreed he has a reputation of being an up and coming good young coach and apparently he has his uefa A licence coaching badge was this checked by the club, looking into his previous track record and after listening to his interview I'm led to believe that when Redbridge got to the 2nd round proper of the fa cup our new manager was in fact head coach at redbridge and not the manager who was in fact a person named Terry spillane our new manager was also head coach/assistant manager at maldon & tiptree when they finished 2nd in the Ryman league north in both instances he wasn't the 1st team manager at both these clubs he was though manager of his last 2 club's that he was involved in them being grays athletic and heybridge swifts both from the Ryman league I just have concerns on whether this job at conference national level could be to big a job for him because as a manager managing what has he won or achieved

I have two concerns. This is your first post and a very negative one. Secondly, you have never seen a full-stop .... here are some extras for you .....
Good luck Jody. The real supporters will back you and the club in their decision.

Firstly, he is here now, so there ain't no point in doubting at this stage until evidence stacks up otherwise.

Secondly, Jurgen Klopp, a head coach since 2008....

We have just appointed an ambitious young manager so should wait and see how things turn out. My only concern at the moment would be us keeping him if things go well...he has not stayed at previous clubs for too long. Perhaps Jamie leaving could turn out to be a blessing in disguise? No-one should under-estimate his performance in recent years...but one of the reasons he left was perceived lack of ambition at the club. The new man has ambition and the Jamie situation might just have shaken some at the club into even higher expectations?
