"In Jamie we ..." oh. Nevertheless he gave us five good years on very limited funds and he and his players stuck with us through very challenging times and a threadbare squad during a transfer embargo, let us not forget that.
What may be may be, can we please be positive. We have a new manager and if he were to come on here and read this he'd likely pack his bags and be off before he'd even started. Hang in there until 2nd January, then you'll see 4/5 new faces. F**k Marsh, done a job for us and wasn't our player for today anyway, fact he has gone to Ebbsfleet on a 18month deal when Oxford dont want him, and for more money, is hardly a shock.
I am looking forward to what our new manager can achieve in January. The problem is we have 3 or 4 crucial games over the festive season with a much depleted squad and no prospect of adding to it before January. I really do hope he can produce a few miracles with what he has at his disposal during this period, otherwise we will be on the back foot going into January with new players trying to bed in. Let's hope he can reap some rewards with, possibly, a tired squad. This situation, however, is no fault of the new manager.
We all know it boils down to cash. You can try to develope youth players. Improve your commercial activities. But in the long run having a fat rich bastard at the top is all that matters. Money money money talks. Which makes Welling United mute.

Funnily enough most of our income is now generated by sponsorship, 500k from Mitsibushi a season, plus various other deals.
So its looking like a case of Jamie Day..light robbery......hahahaha
This is football..............supposedly...........I still think Joe's been offered a deal and is now wrestling with his job or full time football at Ebbsfleet.......and I hear that Jake is also of interest to them........
It's very unsettling all this but I'm just hoping Jody and Glen have good contacts and with some money to spend they can source some talent who would love to play at this level.......let's not forget where Roscoe the goal machine came from........COYMW....is Sho Silva back in action.......??
I doubt that very much, KEH have many plans already in place for our team. A new stand to be erected in April for starters, with all the land around the pitch purchased already. If we go pop then we have lost nothing, because we were going that way anyway 18 months ago. We will enjoy this ride while it lasts, and I think it will. Your club had this opportunity, they turned it down, time will tell if it was a wise move. For us it was a no brainer. Good luck for the rest of the season, hope we meet again in the Conference.
Isn't the man in charge a 28 year old playing with his new toy...or was I told wrong? Ebbsfleet were all but finished before the saviour arrived, just about to be wound up. Now they are winding us up by pinching all our best players! Money talks but money also walks!
