The match couldn't have gone much worse for us (other than having an outfield player sent off as well) - down to the bare bones, now just one keeper available and confidence must have dropped with the last two performances. I bet Jody can't wait to bring in some more players.

Great comment Bertie. I'd be more than happy for you to fro to Ebbsfleet as well. How about getting behind the team?
Merry Christmas
I have been supporting this team for more than 35 years and I was supporting them today otherwise I would not have been at Dover. It was one of the worst displays I have ever seen from a Welling team at Crabble, and I don't think I am alone in my opinion. I will not fro to Ebbsfleet but, as it will make you happy, I will shortly fro to a team much nearer home than the 165 miles round journey made to most home matches for the last 17 years.
It was a poor performance. No-one will dispute that, but you saying players can fro to Ebbsfleet is too far. Any players reading this forum are hardly going to be encouraged by your silly comment are they?? Just have a think about what you've posted.

You support your team through thick and thin. Not slagging them off at the first opportunity. Would you ever tell any of the players they can fro to Ebbsfleet to their face Bertie??? So why say it behind a computer.
Well done to your long journey, but that on its own is not an excuse to tell players to fro.

And are people forgetting that we are 9 points clear of the relegation zone?? Yes there's plenty of work to do, at least 5 wins needed to ensure our safety plus a few draws. But it's not doom and gloom. Give the new manager the time to work with the players ( i don't think he's had a coaching session with the team yet). Give the new manager the chance to bring some players in and get behind your team. Telling players to fro is not right after 1 bad performance.
Rant over.. thanks to all who used the coach today. 47 people travelled down to Dover.
Onwards and upwards to Sunday.

You are, of course, right Polo. It was a rather stupid comment and I apologise, unreservedly, to all those players who may be upset by it - no excuse, just carried away by the alcohol consumed to deaden the disappointment. You misjudge me, however, by asserting that I hide behind a keyboard - if I have something to say to players - be it praise or otherwise - I do have a tendency to say it to their faces. However, the language I used in my posting ( and although I shout, I very rarely swear) was not pleasant and totally unacceptable and I do apologise to our players.
We were very poor today but after 120 minutes Tuesday unlike Dover, and a small squad, and a new manager who hasn't had a training session and doesn't know half the team, I'm willing to cut them some slack.
It's likely to be tough until after the Forest Green game due to bodies, but the new manager will then have time to work his magic and funds to bring players in, so let's stay positive.
