Just an update, Danson, although I am sure you have spotted it: Alfreton has today signed a young centre half, Howe, from S****horpe for the rest of the season. Incidentally, as a local, do you happen to know how the pitch is holding up with all the recent rain and the prospects for play tomorrow? Something tells me I am going to get a "WDYPTC".

There's more chance of the pitch being frozen I should think!
Very frosty here in East Kent - and we are a short walk from the sea and usually frost-free until the depths of February. If it is bad here, it must be more severe inland. Is there an early inspection as Alfreton will be travelling down from Derbyshire? (A former colliery town which, incredibly, has a Tory MP , grrrr). Incidentally, they have signed a giant of a goalkeeper who stands at 6 feet 9 inches tall - keep your shots low, lads. If it is frosty, and the game goes ahead, he could be like Bambi on ice at the park end!
Two nil to Alfreton. This time an unnecessary high foot from Purse. Question mark on whether it was inside or outside of the area, but a definite foul. Just when we were showing promise going forward. Architects of our own downfall.
