Jody did point out at the meet the managers meeting that he is only 32 and para phasing if he did alright this season - their is no reason he couldn't play next season.
This could be an interesting one. If he is non-contract and playing for nothing but registered with us how does that sit with the rules about only being able to sign unattached players outside the window if someone else comes in for him higher up? Presumably there is a gentleman's agreement that we'd cancel his registration if it was before the end of March or some sort of loan agreement would be made?
If that scenario did arise you'd like to hope it was because he'd scored a few or set up a few and we'd got points on the board so it wouldn't be an issue. If not, I could see us looking at the smelly end of the stick again...

The piece about Rowan Vine was part of a weekly feature called 'Don't Ask Me' where (Paul) Hawksbee tests (Andy) Jacobs on his memory of the previous week's shows. However Paul is away this week so his stand-in, Max Rushden, tested Andy on the last show he hosted which was back in July when Rowan was interviewed about his promotional video.
He is playing for nothing so if someone comes in and offers him a contract then he is entitled to leave. Judging by the Woking forum they were not too impressed anyway.

You wouldn't think he is still here then if he missed a league game to play in a trial elsewhere. If he is he would be down the pecking order you think now. Non contract they can do what they like but then the club can also do what they like.
Shame as he looks like he could do a job between midfield and the strikers but we have Vose so its no big deal.
Maybe Jody was being diplomatic and didn't want it to distract people from our squad and our games.
Good luck to him at least he tried when he played for us.
