Congratulations to the genius who decided to move the FA Trophy rounds earlier in the season a couple of years ago to avoid fixture congestion at the end of the season. A five year old could have predicted that sooner or later January and February would be cold, snowy or both and cause Trophy ties to be postponed.
Apparently you now have the case where the Gateshead v Wrexham replay should be played Saturday, with reserve days of next Monday and Wednesday. Halifax v Dartford is also scheduled for Saturday and there has got to be every chance the rescheduled Halifax v Gateshead game goes west on Tuesday if one or other go through. Gateshead lost their game at Telford tonight (which looking out of my window could have been playable) due to the replay and also have now lost Kidderminster on Saturday. Even if they go out they now have at least 3 games to rearrange and the weather forecast isn't great for the next few weeks either.
Not beyond the realms of possibility that one of the third round replay games takes place on the semi final weekend at this rate!
Can't see us going to Gateshead until at least mid March either.
