The two things that would help are discipline on the field and Jody knowing who his best 11 is.

6 weeks - exactly! How on earth can anyone begin to judge a manager after that length of time?

I'm with Stoddy on this one, just can't believe how negative people are getting so quickly. We've had much darker times than this.

Jody has brought in some good players, we've had some poor refs and hard luck recently. There are positives there, hopefully all the shiiit we've been getting will inspire the players. Its us against them and we have shown enough that we be more than a match for the best form side in the league, on their ground with ten men against the ref too.

Anyone who's been at games or seen the highlights will know that we are not getting the rub at the moment, we have played well with a sprinkling of errors and shiit decisions. Now is where we must draw a line, know the situation and go out and shrug off all the crap and get results.

Vose must be black and blue with bruising, he was fouled about 8 times, most of them worthy of a card. Bush got grabbed/slapped round the throat by Bell then pushed in the chest right in front of the ref .. again nothing.

Its funny how these "fussy/harsh" refs are only fussy and harsh with us.

I wasn't joking about depression as an illness!  So don't say I was. I was trying to say. Cheer up FFS. So Cheer up FFS Mark.

Wasn't at the game on Saturday but got some promising feedback.

At least we seem to be a threat going forward now and have some pace and goals in the team. Vose has looked good from his first game against Alfreton and, now his match fitness is up to speed, he is going to be a real asset. I have heard good reports from Sarfend and Chelmsford fans who have both seen Jason Williams this season so I hope he can kick on from his first goal at the weekend.

However the fact that we have conceded three goals in each of the last three games tends to negate the improvements we have made at the other end of the pitch. Your are going to have to score a serious amount of goals each game if you are conceding three at the other end each time (I realise we played with ten for large parts of the last two games but a lot of the goals conceded still seem to be self inflicted...)

Also, as has been mentioned elsewhere, I am sure all the officials  who are involved in our games are well aware of our disciplinary record before they set foot on the pitch. It should not affect their thinking during the game but I have no doubt that it could. Therefore we don't need to give them any ammunition in the first place. The second card for Jeffrey might have been very unlucky but the first one wasn't. I am not advocating that we pull out of tackles and play like choirboys for the rest of the season but we need to be a better balance than we have at the moment. If we have a problem during the game or at half time then send the captain to talk to him. Having said that we also need to remember that if we are on the receiving end of a bad tackle then by all means let's have a few rushing in to berate the offender and get in the ref's face....if you can't beat 'em then join 'em....

Keeping the faith (just)

Up the Wings!

The first yellow may have been a yellow for AJ but then the ref let one of theirs kick the ball away and then commit a bad foul on Vose. He wasn't booked once but Jeffrey was booked twice... BIG DIFFERENCE... The ref can have no defense or answer if questioned about the above. You can only conclude its deliberate.

I would love to find the reason we get shafted by refs and in the same game the oppo do the same or worse and we are lucky to get a free kick.

I doubt he'd care that he didn't as he doesn't need one. I can't change that and if you can I suggest you work hard on it before Saturday...

You are probably right there, he thought he was something special on Saturday, smug look when our players asked why no cards several times and pointing at Jody and Glen to go away when they wanted to talk to him.

Hopefully the assessor has ruined him for his biased performance, although given the assessors usually back up the refs i doubt it.
