To think a few weeks ago, especially after Barnet, we looked to be finished, and now we can win on Saturday and be safe with a game remaining. An incredible turnaround in performances and attitude, and the spirit has returned.
Long way to go, but with a healthy, well-lubricated, noisy support on Saturday and a decent performance we can do it.

Amazing turnaround, honestly thought we were goners but now have a massive chance of survival! got to be at our best Saturday as alfreton will be up for it.
IMHO....why not give Faz & the team the job. Then if we stay up, we can start to sign the likes of Sam Corne & Barney ........if webb£££££££......come a calling they have to pay
But Faz can sit them down & show them what happen to ty marsh, do they want to play in the National League have ambition to follow in the steps of Harry H ...
There's only really one negative towards Faz atm and that's the contacts for signing players. Almost every player that he's brought in during the last six weeks have been guys we've known about - Rossco, Chambers & Osborne. If we do go for him, I think it's a given that he would need some assistance.
But right now on the playing side, he's showing a lot of promise. MM & Barnes as backroom staff combine good fitness and tactical knowledge and he's getting the best out of a fragmented post Brown squad - including KSA which is no small feet. Plus I don't think any manager out there would be as passionate about the club as Loui as anyone who saw how pumped up he was in the post match celebrations last night would testify.
Given our financial capabilities no matter what league we are in, we need someone like Day who can galvanise a group of talented and hungry youngsters week after week and I think Faz right now is the man for that.
Great match last night, last 20 mins were a bit stressful, but the right result in the end. IMHO their goal was offside by the way. Still a way to go but "even" a draw next week will "just" need us to get a better result in the last match than Alf do in theirs - against Bristol. Certainly looking positive. COYW
Great stuff last night from Faz and the boys despite having to make so many changes late in the day. Unlike the Kidderminster game we came out of the blocks flying and that essentially won us the game. The work rate and commitment from all was a joy to see and speaks volumes for the current management team.
The only negative for me was the substitutions. No problem with Gallagher coming on but Fagan was doing well and I would have left him out there. The switch of Lafayette for Akinde was amazing and nobody look more amazed than Ross himself?! I am afraid Akinde's "performance" was awful. He gave away countless free kicks, didn't run and close people down and looked more knackered at the end of the game than his teammates who had run their socks off for ninety plus minutes?! It didn't cost us last night but it might have done...
Onwards (and hopefully upwards) to Alfreton with some interesting selection dilemmas for the management team.....

It is a wise move to go for people you know in the situation Faz found himself. He will be an even bigger hero if he can put out a winning side on Saturday...even a draw would be a good result. Whatever, to be able to go into the last home match still in the hunt for survival is a great achievement given the damage done by Day and company leaving...and Brown destroying.
I can understand the attitude towards Jody Brown, given the terrible run of defeats, but it should not be forgotten that he also brought three good players to the club - Dom Vose, Reece Harris and Sam Berry. Incidentally, I wonder whether we won because of the changes we had to make last night? Sometimes necessity is the mother of invention and, perhaps, the changes confused Wrexham and, hopefully, the watching Alfreton spies.Joe Healy is available on Saturday, but will he be in the starting line-up?

He also brought in Darren Purse, Rowan Vine and Karl Duguid who, one assumes, would not have been cheap.
He also destroyed the fabric of our club by leaving out good young players to accommodate these has beens.
Sam Corne has been immense in the last few weeks and yet he didn't get a look in under "The Educated One"
Great win last night. We actually started the game with a high intensity for once and played some great stuff in the first half. We sat back a little bit too much in the second half but did well to scrap it out.
Sam Corne made a slight error for the Wrexham goal but he was generally immense as was Zach Fagan who in my opinion has been unfairly overlooked for too long. St Amie is like a different player- he battled for everything last night.
Now let's go on and secure our safety with a win at Alfreton!

He would have been stuffed by the late arrivals, however, as there was not another goalkeeper on the books when he was running the show.
