Shocking Dartford have had their game called off today against Worthing.. never knew the rain was more fierce 10 minutes up the road.

It does happen (not that I am defending Dartford). This morning another poster on here was asking about todays game on our watsapp group as it was heavy rain where he was in Welling. I posted a photo from my balcony in Kidbrooke where it was brilliant sunshine.

Brendan Kiernan played for Crystal Palace U21s last night.
He's a development coach there, played a few times. A bit like Tom huddlestone at Man Utd.
Heard he was coaching at Palace but wasn't aware he actually played sometimes. Just seen he was 'trialist' for the U21s last night... and he is 31 years old!

Teams are allowed a certain number of players who do not fit the catagory. A while back my eldest played a couple of games for an Istmian under 23 side but was 30. Following season he played for their vets team as an allowed younger player. Likewise going back further he played in a team affiliated to the North London Turkish league as one of the 2 permitted foreign players.

He is his own worst enemy, and is so arrogant he never learns from his mistakes. As someone said about him, he has an overinflated opinion about his own abilities.
He went to Glentoran and alienated fans by saying he didn't care what people said, and by playing his 16 year old son in the first team.
I was surprised to see him saying Glentoran should be pushing for the title, as he was always so carefully cautious in his aims for us, "we'll play each game and see where it takes us". But it puts him back on the managerial market, so Glentoran's gain will in due course be someone else's loss. Football is a small world, I always had a feeling he could be Dartford manager one day, that would be such fun to have games against his Dartford, I wonder, I just wonder...
Connor Dymond announced himself as a free agent leaving Ashford United. Shortly after, Kevin Watson (the one who played for us rather than our current assistant manager) was sacked as manager there.
Chatham Town are turning into Welling Former Players FC, they have Harvey Bradbury, Sid Nelson, James Dunne, Karim Isiaka, Ashley Nzala, Rowan Liburd, maybe others I don't recognise.
They're pretty sure of a play off spot, so maybe we could have them and their impressive strikers as our local NLS rivals next season.
To compensate, fantastic news about Sam Cox, loved his positivity in the middle of all the madness, so a well deserved chance for him, hope he manages to keep them up, though most remaining fixtures look tough for Wealdstone.
