Lost 2-0 but would not read too much into the score. Both side fielded different players each half - a good run out for the players and a good crowd - will know more about the team potential after the ebbsfleet game I think.

Thanks morph, and you're right about the actual result not really being important. It's good that Loui and his crew had a chance to see players in action. And for the players, starting to get some mileage into their legs.

Hi Mark

Crowd given 2,100 as for players it's was hard to judge as CAFC had their first team out in the first half and they were too good for the players and this was the period when they scored both goals. We played their youngsters more in the second half and I felt the players on show put on a better performance, we had several trialist who showed promise but I would like to see them against non league opposition before passing judgement.

Barney had a good game and loui came on and done well, personally I would sign the goal keeper that came on second half, I liked the look of a midfielder who in my view play's simple passes and keeps the ball moving, there was also a strong winger in the second half that battled well, and I liked the look of one of the forward players trailist that ran a lot to try and close the defenders down.

Sorry Mark I do not know their names.

Very slow to react for the goals but we improved as the game went on. Not many chances for us but the sort of game you can't really read too much into. No doubt a good workout in that heat though.

Good crowd, good weather, beers on the terraces and a financial bonus. Really appreciate this fixture. Footballing wise we'll get more out the next few games.

Afolabi Obafemi made 4 appearances plus 1 sub for Welling at the beginning of last season before getting released.

I recall that Daisy didn't really want to release him, but that budget restraints meant that one non-contract player had to go.

Does anyone know why two of our three contracted "strikers" were not involved on Saturday *..?? I believe KSA was at the ground but not sure about Tashan??

* Before anyone comes back with WDYPTC they will have less idea about the answer to these questions than some on here might have!

Tashan had a family holiday booked before he joined Welling and returned on Saturday. He will play at Erith.
