Played poor first half. Didn't string any passes together and were panicking, lumping it long. 2-0 down at half time, first goal keeper/defender mix up, second bobbed around the six yard box before bundled in. 2nd half much better. Defence kept the ball, we played out more with Vidal looking a different player from the first half. Wellard did well and George Porter made a big difference. Both our goals were decent moves 2-2 then they scored a good header.
We wont get a look in in matches if we start like we did today in a conference match. Game was a pretty good pace and some strong challenges. Management will learn loads from today.
Very disappointing first half, we just had no serious threat up front, midfield was week and the back line constantly under pressure. Second half was better to begin with but tailed off after getting back to 2 - 2. Excuses? Well it was hot but the same for both sides. If we play like this in a league match we'll not get any points at all. Certainly hope the management team can sort things out!
Well....only 2 games in....wouldn't worry too much yet....new players getting used to each other.....Goalkeeper seems a bit of an issue.....Hopefully Faz will have it ready for day 1
Someone needs to go tell Zack Fagan he's a big strong lad. He should be dominating midfield much more than he is. They had a umpa lumpa wearing 4 take the ball off him several times. Start believing in yourself Zack. Xavi Vidal's gonna be class. Give him time. George Porter.... Sign him up. He's got it. You can see by his runs. He's played higher and will again. Kabba did ok. Overall £bbsfl££t were better. More settled and experienced. As we all know pre season is nothing really. Practice games. The 46 cup finals start on the 8th of August. Oh also Reese Harris will star this year! IMO
Not a fan of three at the back, Barney is not a wing back but he is an overlapping full back, same as Jeffo, giving up far to much space on the wings to opponents.

Three at the back can work but the wingbacks have to be very fit and strong, the central player of the back three has to marshal the other two cb's all the time and you need a strong holding midfielder with lots of height and strength alongside a ball playing midfielder. Jamie Day and Jake Gallagher would have been a great combo for this setup but alas are gone. Jefford should be the left wing back as he is not suited to playing as a left sided CB. Zach should be the central centre back and Chambers should move to the left side. I am sure Loui will figure it out, lets see.
