Hi all! I'm an AS Roma fan from Italy, very interested in English football. I came across your nickname and I would like to know something more about it. Can you tell me something about its origins? Thank you a lot! Hope you have a good season!

Are we signing someone from Roma, hence your interest with us? :)

And I thought it was something to do with the wings on the "Pegasus" club crest.

Was probably a year we couldn't afford to put the ELL on the shirts. Used up too many letters...

I think it is/was a bit of both.

The winged horse symbolising a club that were flying high (the original name of the fanzine which wasn't a roaring success.....!!)

I'm presuming the winged horse is a Kent thing as more Kentish teams than enough have it as part of their badges

The white horse of Kent is the associated with Kent Invita, the club crest looks as if it is the kent invita horse with the wings added to make it a "Pegasus" to create the club logo as we know it today.

I can answer that one as I purchased it on WUSA's behalf. - COST

The dog was purchased originally for use at the Danson Show for our stand giving out leaflets and photos etc - we looked at the trying to get a winged horse but none were available, and it would have cost £450 - £600 to get one made to order, as it was for the Danson show I could not justify that amount of money being spent so we decided to get a dog for £35 and put a welling kit over and call it Danson the Dog if anyone asked.
