Apologies for no updates. Couldn't get a signal in the ground.
How it stayed 1-0 is a mystery, they missed 4 or 5 absolute sitters.
We looked good in the build up, but in the last 3rd we never really had a serious chance or threat. Porter came on for the last 15 and changed the game. Would like to see him start on Saturday with Kabba. Wellard played well but needs to put his foot through the ball and shoot more. Plenty for Loui and the boys to work on but plenty of positives alsi.
The players did give it there all tonight, just beaten by a much better side. Onwards and upwards to Saturday.

I heard that said as well, the announcer also gave the attendance 36 welling supporters which were applauded by the Forrest Green fans when announced - hope they and the team have a save journey home.
On my way home from work and just heard the result.
Sounds like the lads played well and were unlucky with the goal. Hopefully they'll keep their chins up, keep doing what they're doing on the training groun and focus on the next game.
Well done to fans who travelled all the way up there. Have a safe journey home.
Seems like a good effort from the lads but, like Saturday, maybe lacking a bit in the final third?? To be honest we shouldn't really expect to get much away at clubs like Forest Green whose resources are on a different planet to ours.
One thing that does perplex me. We were told all during pre season in the interviews and matches that Faz and Co were very keen on the 3-4-1-2 system. First game we have ONE centre back injured and that system immediately gets canned in favour of 4-4-2 (Fagan can play centre back and had some of his better games last season in that position) Injured centre back returns last night but yet it is still 4-4-2 when we had a couple of options on the bench to play right wing back despite the injuries to Faz and Barney. I don't understand that you base nearly all your preparation about playing one way and, because of one injury, the idea gets abandoned.
Onwards and upwards to Macclesfield where we have a more realistic chance of getting a result.
