Half time one all. I really have no idea how wee got ourselves back in the game after a dire opening. We look much better since the equaliser, though.

My thoughts exactly. I'd take a draw against a promotion favourite anyday.

An entertaining game tonight. And an encouraging performance after the Welling equalizer.

I was pleased for Turley when he put through his own net. Couldn't happen to a nicer chap.

1st game back at PVR this evening, thought it was good entertaining game. Pretty shocking first 20 minutes, and if completely honest, both of Eastleigh's goals were very soft and could have been avoided. But the second half was a good performance and encouraging to see, just shows when we get the ball down and run at teams we can more than compete.

If we play like we did in the second half, especially at home I can't see many teams going away with many points. COYW

Got to take a lot of confidence from that, that's the team that's the formation...no more chopping and changing, vidal finally further up the pitch was a different player and caused problems. I thought reece harris was outstanding considering he played on the right and to be honest it was one of jeffords best games in a welling shirt. Maybe a little bit more concentration at the back is needed but play like that more often and we won't be beat as much as some would predict

That's more like it!!

A good performance all round. A good effort from the back four up against one of the best strike forces in this league. Lokko has impressed me in the last two games and Fagan did well filling in at full back. Corney and Lee worked tirelessly in midfield all night and Harris was a constant threat down the right wing although I think we could have swapped him and Wellard over from time to time?? Finally we see Vidal playing further forward with some protection behind him and now we can see a real footballer who can hopefully create and score more goals - he needs to become the Beautyman of this team (apart from the disappearing halfway through the season bit of course!)

Having said all that my motm undoubtedly goes to Porter who for 70 minutes ran his wotsits off, never gave the centre halves any breathing time and stretched the game for his team mates to get hold of the ball at times. He was a threat all night and put himself about against physically bigger players as well. As I have said before one up top is not necessarily a defensive measure (as was seen last night) and for me this is the way forward with the players at our disposal.

Consistency will be the key going forward and there will be ups and downs with such a young side. We need to turn these sort of displays in against the weaker sides in the division and, if we can repeat last night's performance more often than not, we will be just fine.

Wrexham is a very tough game but at least we should have the confidence from last night to give them a run for their money.

Up the Wings!

To me it looked like we reverted to a back three for last night's game but I'm not infallible!

The Eastleigh defenders stood glaring at the linesman palms to the skies for Vidal's goal were amusing. Not even close.

Dan Harding, the full back who teed it up, kept his head down. Probably remembering that only ten months ago he was top of the Championship and 1-0 up with twenty minutes left at White Hart Lane.

I believe that perfectly exemplifies the ridiculous wages Eastleigh must be paying. If they don't go up this season, it'll all end in tears.

Harding was a Forest player last season. Forest were top, unbeaten and beating Spurs away in the League Cup with twenty minutes left.  Then the season fell apart for Forest and Harding.  Lost 3-1, started sinking like a stone in the league and Harding was loaned out to Millwall who were relegated.

Harding had his best three years at Southampton, so it appears he moved back there for his family who have had other stuff to deal with.  Also seems to have been a bit disillusioned with life as a Championship footballer.

If we can play like that at home and cut out the silly mistakes then more team's will come a cropper. Eastleigh seem fairly typical of this league, loads of big fit guys who bully results out . It was nice to see we didn't crumble and Porter and Vidal give a lot of confidence to build on,Eastleigh were lucky to come away with anything.Much of the same at Wrexham please
