Massive point! Well done lads!

Sod's Law did everything it could to ruin our day again but the lads worked their socks off and a point was the very least they deserved.

Absolute cracker by Sam Corne.

Onwards and upwards!

It was certainly a great advert for the club, and shows the floating/neutral fans that have disappeared since last season what they're missing.

Good attendance of 1,012 as well.

Very good performance and a good game to watch. Delighted with a point off them, even though we could have nicked it.

Great team performance, had the better chances in the 1st half. Can't remember Tranmere testing King. Second half a little different, on the back foot after the early goal but we had something about us. Hit the crossbar and deservedly equalised through a cracking strike by Mr Corne. Kabba caused problems for their defence and I wish we would play with two up front. Great performance against a team who will be there or there about at the end of the season.

Bring on Torquay.

Great match, must have made good TV as well with lots of incidents for the "experts" to discuss. But shame on me, I missed Sam's goal as I left early to get the beers in @ the Hinge! Looking forward to watching the highlights!

BT missed the goal as they were showing a close up of Barrie's face. But otherwise a great performance from the wings a joy to watch and it must be said BT did a great job.

Lovely tranmere fans today...one smashed the dressing room windows and others wrote graffiti all over the ground. Even funnier was one fan who stood behind the road end in the 2nd half telling us it was Welling's cup final. However "big" you may think Tranmere are, they are still in the same league as little old Welling.

Bunch of little scumbags outside The Guy acting up. Heard a few other Tranmere fans giving them grief.

Identify and make them pay! Great effort, great goal and good discipline. Should really have won. Looked a lot better than bottom 4 today!

Their forum has a thread condemning these scumbags. Many of their true fans are disgusted with them and wish they'd go away

Assuming the rules on this are the same as The Football League Tranmere Rovers will be lumbered with the repair bill.

Crystal Palace used to charge ridiculous five figure sums everytime the wooden seats in their away end were smashed up.

So new A+ rating windows for the dressing room just in time for winter.

Great point in the end, entertaining game all-round and thought the fans were excellent today, lets keep that level of support up!

Shame we didn't take all 3, Kabba had two one on ones and quite frankly didn't come close to scoring either. The strikers we have need to start scoring asap or we need to have a look into the loan market! Apart from that, very good performance. COYW

Anyway. What today's match confirmed to me is we really shouldn't fear anyone in this league. We know our problem at the moment is the lack of goals. If we can get that right(please God)the rest of our game ain't too shabby. Did the mighty Tranmere cause us problems today? No. Have we been outclassed in any game? No. Today we had better players in many positions. I'll single out George Porter. What effort a desire. He was bollocking Tom King to be more assertive at corners and all sorts. Sahr Kabba too. Could of had a couple. Also the management team. Constantly coaching and urging the team on. Constant encouragement. Opposed to Tranmere's boss who spent his time waving his arms around shouting for non existent fouls, penalties and handballs. The fourth official was deaf in one ear by the full time whistle.

Unfortunately Dave it was the Welling Kids causing the problem by goading the Tranmere fans out of the Guy. Who were just telling them to go away

no swearing just "go away" When I got Barry and a PC the "Scumbags" started getting shirty with them and thought it was funny.

The other sad part was some of them were with some of Welling youth team players who earlier started giving me grief then Keith.
Not the best reflection on the club.

On a Positive note though praise to the Wings players today who played well and were unlucky not to come away with 3 points.
Hopefully people may have watched this on TV or come to the game and on this display will come to PVR and enjoy more Wings matches in the future.

Good first half but why we did we hit it long second half? Tranmere were not that good and we should have stuck with passing throughout. Not sure why Kabba was subbed either, I know he missed a few one on ones but at least he was trying and getting in those positions (and staying onside). He seemed to link up well with Videl too. Great goal to get us back in it but we need to play football against certain teams. Lumping it direct was getting us nowhere and awful to watch. Corne and Porter's work rate was superb.

Glad we got a point but could have been all three.

Tranmere boss Brabin was like a schoolgirl on the touch line- hilarious.

I think the management team just wanted fresh legs on the pitch.

So surely, if it was our cup final. That means we are an embarrassing team for them to be playing. Yet, we still equaled them, and maybe should have beat them. There is a reason you are in this league. And there is a reason were are in it. We are both of the same standards. Couldnt stand any of the tranmere fans today. Hope their fall from grace continues IMO. But fair play to some of their players. Keeper played well all game.

We should have had a penalty or two in the first half. Sutton who clearly slides down and saves the shot. Should have been a goal or a penalty. Penalty would have probably seen a red card which is what he got later on in the game...

Red Card looks harsh, but Kabba is 5'6'' or there abouts so he would get him in the face. He gave the officials a decision to make. Well played today. Other than a few loose balls, feel we dominated the game.

We may have a problem with scoring goals but the defence did play really well i thought. Build from the back and it's a fact that Welling United have never lost a game where we haven't conceded.

Brabin moaning about  the speed with which the 4th official threw the ball on for the throw that led to the goal. Sir, if your players had not been so glacial at just about every restart since the start of the game, maybe he, like the rest of us, would not have got the hump over it. Sorry if we didn't take your mandatory 30 seconds over it!

To any fans of ex-League clubs who think any of the historically non-League clubs are below their station, remember we had to be good to get in this League, all you had to be was abject sh*te (with the possible exception of Luton).

Complaining about an official for helping the game to restart is a new one.

Despite the obvious error, Tranmere scored from a corner that clearly should have been a goal kick. Brabin was OK with that.

That must have been one of the multitude of 50:50 decisions that went against them.

Clown.

That was pretty much our season (so far) in a nutshell on Saturday.

Played well in parts but didn't take chances. Could have had a penalty and red card first half (although the eventual red card was very harsh!) but didn't get it. Gave away yet another soft goal (from a corner that never was...). Striker that can't do 90 minutes and replaced with two "strikers" who are about as threatening as Hinge and Bracket.

Until we start taking chances we are going to struggle. The keeper and defence pretty much know when they set foot on the pitch that, if the opposition scores, then the most we are likely to get from the game is a point...Cracking goal from Corney and some good performances from the centre backs as well. Kabba definitely posed a threat but should  have scored from one of those opportunities in the first half. Thought we could have switched Harris and Porter over on a few occasions as it was too obvious they would cut inside all the time rather than try and get to the byline and offer a different threat.

Need to eliminate the mistakes and get some wins on the board sooner rather than later. Tranmere were poor and there for the taking but, if it hadn't been for a later wonder goal, we would have lost as we played better 11 v 11 than we did 11 v 10.

Up the Wings!

Why was Sam Corne booked for being piled on by his team mates?
