I really can see them going pop soon. Doesn't their current owner own part of Oxford? As soon as he can he will jump ship and Eastleigh will be going bankrupt

I said a few years ago that the way things are going, all a club will need to do to stay up is to just stay financially afloat and then leave the bottom four places to the "AGM cup."
Eastleigh seem determined to be the new Salisbury. Signing full-time league players with IOUs. When their true finances come to light they'll be in the same position as Kidderminster, Torquay and Halifax where players will not give 100% simply because they won't want to risk broken legs for a club that may not even pay their wages. Although it's been brushed under the carpet, Lincoln are still in financial trouble, with Aldershot (not long out of administration) and Wrexham struggling to balance the books as well.
I believe the article below from the BBC website perfectly exemplifies the current fiscal lunacy of this league, whereby Paul Cox tells the BBC that Torquay said that they couldn't afford to pay his wages, and then in the same article it's announced Torquay have signed two players...
Remember the idiot from Eastleigh on here after our draw at home with them a few weeks back. Seemed to think players had dropped from League Two, and even one from the Championship, to play for Eastleigh just out of love for the club. All 11 of them!

Just read his programme notes from our home game in August - deluded doesn't quite cover it!
Sadly, in the short term, I think this might actually benefit Łastleigh if they manage to get someone vaguely competent in charge. Most people who play Football Manager could have got Łastleigh to where they are currently with their resources.
