Very interesting going through my family tree this year come as a massive shock over the past few months ive found out my cousin was Catherine howard and Anne Bowelyn which makes Eliz 1st also related the link comes through joan bullmer Acworth if your interested so what do u think me and my family are entitled to now?

hense not only have I got the howards I have the bowelyns as they were first cousin to the howards anne gave birth to Elizabeth 1st so what does this make me to henry 8th? someone today said great grandfather are they right?
Joan Bulmer Acworth will go down in history as the only Acworth to become a royal. Joan and Catherine howard had grown up together at Lambeth palace and were soon to be romanced by 2 men in Thomas Culpeper and Sir Edward waldegrave,who joan later married upon release.
Knowing her best friend Catherine howard was to become queen she wrote a letter to henry 8th asking for a position within the royal court this was granted and she became Catherine howards lady in waiting a very high up position within the royal court.
Learning of the queens affairs by lady rochford the king had joan and Catherine arrested by armed guard on nov 1 st and taken to syon house under house arrest.Catherine was brought to the towers gates after the trial at the guildhall London where she would be found guilty of treason and punished by death.
Catherine at the time stayed in the house on the green at the tower where the guard stands today.Joan was released several months later with Edward waldegrave who she later married. Joan gave birth to a baby girl in Margery waldegrave who carried on the family name marrying into the clopton household.
William Clopton is the duke of Norfolk family tree and guess what?Howard is in their so this info makes me 6th or 7th cousin to howard and anne b before her as they where first cousens between them very proud to have all this history in my tree who has a queen in their family tree not many?
