Probably worst possible for travelling Blues. An evening would've been easier!
Totally agree with you. I see first train gets into Kings Cross at 13.52 and costs stupid money. Would you lay on coaches to us?
Hardly train to Newcastle Saturday evening, a few beers and a train down to London around 7am on Sunday....I guess from our perspective the TV money is the equivalent of around 1000 on the gate, allowing for concessions.
With the £12,500 being given to the club (gutting its not the £72,000) I hope the club keep the same pricing for tickets, including student tickets etc which always seems to be the thing that goes for cup games.
No point annoying current fans and putting off the curious fans if they hike up the prices for the game!
Hopeful we can push 1500+ for this, only 1 Premier league game on, we must be the only team playing in Kent/South east London! Just hope the club/supporters can get the word out well enough!
Might be worth doing a local leafleting session. Although it's an FA cup game, it might take that extra little push of publicity to get the locals out to support their local club.
We could even invest some of the TV money in local newspaper adverts.

Is that £12,500 for each club or is it shared between each club as per the gate money?

If leaflets were available at the next home game, we could all take a handful and do our local streets, might help?
I think that the club would always be happy for volunteers to take leaflets and distribute them. Ask Paul in the shop, or Barrie / Barry if they have any you could distribute.
We should definitely target the schools as well. I have kids at Danson and am happy to help with any leaflet distribution at the school, although it has been done well by somebody else in the past.

2000 plus is never gonna happen IMO. Put together our 600 die hard core support add 200 curious strangers/floaters add another 350-400 Carlisle fans. Gives 1150-1200. I Hope i'm wrong but I cant see too many more than that I'm afraid.
Speaking as someone from Carlisle, from a family of Carlisle fans, and who has traveled to away games with them, there is no way Carlisle will bring 400. I imagine the total will be around 100-150 tops, maybe less if the game is on a Sunday.
I will be going to this with my family who will want away tickets - does anyone have any idea if there will be segregation, if so, how will that work? I have only ever been to Welling games with an integrated crowd. Do the home fans get the bar, and if so, are there places for away fans to drink in the ground?

The game will be segregated. Carlisle United supporters will be given the cricket ground side of the ground. It has a bar owned by co-tenants Erith and Belvedere, resembling the Winchester Club from Minder, and I will be amazed if it is not open.
Was it really necessary to make this match a ticketed event? Will supporters/fans be able to pay at the gate on the day? if so, this is not clear from the website.
A Sunday afternoon, opposition from a million miles away, 1500 gate expected? IMHO (humble as opposed to honest!) ticketing could be detrimental to occasional and last minute supporters, particularly those who have to wait on the rest of the family on the day, before getting clearance to attend? Yes, under the thumb on Sundays, Saturdays are my permitted sports day!!
As far as I know, tickets are still available to buy on the day.
This has been done to ensure that anyone who sits in the new stand and will have to move as the opportunity to sit in the old stand. Anyone also wishing to avoid queue's on the day could buy their ticket in advance and go straight through the gate,

We've given you a nice contemporary stand with 500 seats a bit of terracing and a modern toilet block as you're used to being spoiled in League 2. If we do manage to get a replay I trust you will repay the compliment by given us a scruffy terrace open to the elements, anything else would be quite alien to us.

You'd either get the normal Away Section in the East Stand, or I could ask them to out you behind the goal on the uncovered terrace?! :)

Behind the goal on an open terrace, sounds very familiar......
Interesting that Carlisle have been given only 393 seat tickets. This must mean that the remaining 100+ in the New Stand are unusable due to the TV gantry. IF we were to get through and draw a Premier League club at home this would cause a considerable loss of revenue with a capacity crowd unless a way could be found to site it elsewhere.
drawing a premier league club? at home? THINKING WAY AHEAD! need to handle Carlisle first. But if that were to happen. I would think that the club would be adding more temporary terracing all around the group to try and make it as big as possible for revenue. But please, lets try and deal with Carlisle first
Certainly need to deal with Carlisle first, but it's nice to dream. Say we did draw a home match against Chelsea, Spurs or Arsenal, surely the club would go for the big money and agree to play the match away? Travel for home support would not be a problem after all.
I wouldn't want to swap anyway. Beat Chelsea at home (after all they are struggling) and then a packed Emirates away roared on by 6000 Welling supporters many of most of whom aren't sure which team we are.

Is it bad I can actually see the emirates part happening. SHOULD we beat Carlisle. draw arsenal away and then have 5000 extra fans who we will never have seen down PVR. :) Good pay day either way
Are but if that were to happen and we "boxed clever" we would sell the Arsenal tickets to anyone who has a voucher from the previous two home games, that would certainly boost attendance's but all "pie in the sky". got to beat Carlisle first.

Not allowed to do it. The argument is that our ground is supposed to be good enough to get in the League, it is not countenanced for League clubs, ergo we aren't allowed to do it either, which I wholly agree with.
Regarding potential moves of a fixture, these are the rules from the FA Cup 2015/16 - We've had games moved before, Knowsley United was at Everton, Guiseley was at Bradford...
(i) The venue of each match (save for the Semi-Finals or Final which will be played at venues selected by the Professional Game Board) will be that of the first named Club. Subject to Competition Rules 9(a)(ii) and 9(a)(iii) such match shall be played on that ground unless the consent of the Professional Game Board has been obtained to any change of venue. In the case of a replay, subject to Competition Rules 9(a)(ii) and 9(a)(iii), the match shall be played on the ground of the second drawn Club, unless the consent of the Professional Game Board has been obtained to any change of venue.
(ii) For a tie to be played on the ground of a Club outside The FA Premier League or Football League playing a Club from The FA Premier League or The Football League, the Home Club shall take all necessary steps to liaise with the local enforcing authority and/or Police to assess the suitability from a safety or security point of view of staging a tie at the ground. Any such assessment shall be completed within three days of the date of the Draw (or the date of the drawn tie in the case of a replay) or such longer period as shall be agreed by The Association.
The Home Club shall forthwith notify the outcome of the assessment to The Association along with such documentation supporting the assessment as may be required by The Association.
The Association will decide whether to allow and require the match to be played at such ground or not, taking into account the assessment and any supporting documentation.
In the event that The Association allows and requires the match to be played at that ground, the Away Club may still lodge a protest under the provision of Competition Rule 9(b) if applicable.
In the event that The Association decides not to allow the match to be played at that ground then the first alternative ground shall be the nearest suitable ground subject to the agreement of the Professional Game Board.
(iii) In any event, the Professional Game Board shall have the power to order that any match be played on an alternative ground or date, including a Sunday, if it is considered appropriate and necessary. For ties switched from the ground of the Club first drawn, then the Professional Game Board shall determine the financial conditions in which the tie shall be played and this may include, any excess receipts to be paid into the Pool.
(iv) No monetary or other consideration shall be asked for, offered or paid in connection with negotiations for a change of venue.
(v) Any Club with a tie switched after declaring that the ground has been authorised to a capacity agreed with the local enforcing authority or Police may be refused entry into the Competition for the following season and be subject to such other action as the Professional Game Board shall deem necessary.
This sundays the big day then eh. What do people rate our chances? Bookies have us at 3/1 to win, indicating a 25% chance of us actually winning on the day. IMO, we should be higher than that. 35% or so, cause to my recollection, we have only lost twice at home this season...no? (Bromley & Southport).
