I think all official coaches and buses organised by their supporters have been cancelled on safety grounds.  It seems the team may have come down by coach yesterday. Let's hope their southern-based supporters turn up in droves to cheer them on, just to add to the atmosphere. It could be that many of the supporters who do make it from Carlisle may be going back to flooded and damaged homes, poor sods. Can we do anything to help them - turn the "boost the budget" box into an impromptu collection to be given to Carlisle supporters/officials to add to any collections for flood victims back home?  I suppose if the Carlisle team is down here, the match should be played but it does seem such a pity.  I wonder whether the TV companies would consider the match being rearranged - giving increased, live fee coverage to both clubs and a sizeable donation to flood victims at a match which could be a rallying point for help for Carlisle and Cumbria?

It does seem strange to be playing the match when there is a disaster happening back on their home turf. They say the worst of the storm is still to hit the area, later today, so I think, as a minimum a collection bucket would be a friendly gesture of sympathy. But we still want to beat them of course!

Certainly add my sympathy to the people of Cumbria and sincerely hope that there is no loss of life.

While I agree about a bucket collection first we need to know if there is a fund or organisation we could pass any money onto. We do not want to be in a position of taking people's money then not knowing what to do with it.

As an afterthought if no official fund I am sure the Salvation Army would need the help up there.

Just a thought, with many Carlisle fans unable to travel due to the horrendous weather conditions can the match now become unsegregated (if that's even a word)
