All well and good Morph, love the enthusiasm, but long-term means nothing without surviving the short-term. Planning my retirement is no good if I am hit by a bus tomorrow.
In the short-term;
Tactics - Negative, one up top
Team Selection - Negative/ridiculous
Post match interviews - Ridiculous ... "information", "instructions"
Admission of mistakes or any kind of plan to alter things and try something new - non-existent
Looking to add signings at the end of the loan window - No
Ability or willingness to move on any players that aren't good enough - non-existent
Faith in their plans for January - No.
A change of manager alone is not the answer, the club also needs a complete overall restructure of the club.
I am fairly confident that this club could become a division 2 club within 5 years if it wanted to.
However to achieve this the board would need to be open and be prepared to allow positive changes within the club from the top to the bottom or the bottom to the top.
(Yes I did say Division 2 Club within 5 years.)

League 2. What!.... I'll have two pints of what you've been drinking. Jesus it must be strong gear!
I have felt odd all season since the first game, I didn't feel like I was watching Welling anymore. I haven't enjoyed any games that much and am really underwhelmed with many of the squad compared to previous seasons.
I think that the management team are genuine blokes who have tried hard, but they should at least come out on camera and admit that they have made a few mistakes and also apologise to the regular supporters for the shambolic team selection and tactics in Sundays game.
I think that a few of the players need to have a good look at themselves and ask am I good enough for this level and do I deserve the contract I am on. I doubt any of them would leave voluntarily. I saw that Paddy Kenny did this at Bury the other week because he was injured and tore up his deal.
Have not decided yet whether to attend any more home games as I will be asking for a refund if I see a certain person's name on the team sheet, as I do not believe that they have any ability and have not shown much for our club.
Booing at the end of the game (fortunately not seen on tv highlights)
The ironic cheers for KSA when he won a header in the first half were picked up on by the commentary team on Radio 5. It was stating the obvious, but they said it wouldn't help the team's cause at all.
But "what if" KSA scores on Saturday and we have a good run in the Trophy, will all be forgotten / forgiven? I hope not. As they say in the horse racing world - "you cannot beat the form book" and our form, and that of certain individuals, has been poor All season.
But "what if" KSA scores on Saturday and we have a good run in the Trophy, will all be forgotten / forgiven? I hope not.
That's what we'd all like to see, surely?
Whatever you made of that player for the majority of last season, and he wasn't great, he came good at the end in the last month when the team needed the points to stay up. Whether that was enough to warrant another contract you can debate, but you can see why Loui would want to keep him, and why he trusts him. He performed under his management. The idea that it is down to car pooling is only the kind of nonsense you read on football forums.
On Sunday he started his first game since April. It may have been a mistake that, but he didn't pick that team. The game was against a decent League Two side and he struggled. Many would have. Once again he got stick almost from the off from certain sections. There must be fans there supporting Welling, who travel to Gateshead away, etc, who get fed up with that?

You can please quantify this with one game where he played well and got us the point to stay up. Thanks in advance.
I remember the goal was a freak. Doesn't change the fact he had a very good game in a crucial win. Welling, had won something like one in sixteen going into that Kidderminster game too, so hardly a guaranteed win.
Let's give it a rest now.
Faz is likely to in charge for tilbury.
There have been some good posts on this thread by fans.
Also some right bull**** by trolls.
Move on members.
Did that goal even come off of KSA? I'm sure I remember laughing at him being awarded it by the announcer when it looked for all the world like it came off the defender.
In the grand scheme of things Tilbury is irrelevant. It is another fortunate draw against a team three levels below us (despite their good run of late) that we should be able to get through.
Are we saying that if we win that game the management team should stay on...?? There would then be five league games before the next round of the Trophy all against top half teams (Macclesfield, Dover x2, Braintree and Grimsby) and if we carry on with current form/tactics/personnel I am pretty sure we will be in the bottom four before too long.
If a change is to be made then make it. Give the potential replacement as many games as possible to make some changes on and off the pitch.
