Has been a difficult week after the disappointment of the cup defeat and our lowly position in the league, however;

  • the club has raised a £1000 for Cumbria with the match ball auction - well done the club and the winning bidder
  • very positive feedback from media, Carlisle boss and fans
  • good media coverage including a mention on TalkSport today
  • just over £500 donated by WUSA to Cumbria
  • Keith Gillard donating his fee

I was quick to state on here some things I didn't like about last Sunday (which I still stand by) but only fair to praise the positives.

Up the Wings!

Yeah and I read somewhere that some Carlisle fans were going to get a minibus and attend one of our games as a thank you

On Carlisle's forum, it has been suggested that their London branch get together to attend a Welling match. Then someone suggested it could be when Wings play at Barrow, before someone else pointed out that match has been played, and "sod giving Barrow the money", "it should be a Welling home game"!

Positives are that we're playing at Ryman 1 North team tomorrow, which, on a good day, is about the level for some of our "attackers".

At least the club can pull together and do the right thing despite what happens on the pitch.

credit to all involved in the fund raising.

 I am positive that the management team disagree, and therefore positive we'd be better off without them.

You don't believe we would be better off without the management team?
You don't believe that they are happy with their strikers, system and selections?
