For once, in a long time, we seem to have a squad big enough to allow rotation of fresh players during the busy Xmas and New Year match schedule. Quite a blessing compared with our threadbare squad last Christmas.

Is the 'busy' Christmas period different to any other time of year? It's just Saturday, Monday, Saturday this year.

Yes, but a Monday match following a Saturday is little time for knocks and niggles to mend - so we can call on fresh players (got to be better than last year).

Never mind the quality, feel the width.

Still better than struggling to field a fit side, or a patched-up side, or people playing out of position. Err see Xmas 2014 and the subsequent veterans' phase.

Well ...I keep looking at the matches....then look at how we are playing....how few goals we score and I am switching between 0 and 3 points

Thats a bit depressing isnt it!

4 points would be good, but very unlikely, if there was money on it I'd not gamble on getting more than 2

And the Monday match is AWAY at Braintree who have been waterlogged all this week without the benefit, in my eyes, of an excess of recent rain. There have been postponements of their Trophy tie last Saturday, it's re-arrangement for Tuesday this week, and now tonight's TV game vs Wrexham. Even their last home match vs Torquay three weeks ago was reportedly played on "a sodden pitch".

With rain forecast over the Christmas period, (at least it's not snow!) I am doubting Wings will have more than Saturday games to contend with?
