I said at the start of the season that in most cases leagues don't start until Christmas no one expected Leicester to be where they are and injuries strength of depth in squads will try teams across all leagues for the rest of the season.
turning to our own position this really is true as we are now bottom four and I'm as baffled as anyone else on team selection etc that has got us to where we are
In a nutshell I said at the time that Faz was not the man for the job He kept us up last season but is now shown that first steps in management at this level are clearly a step too far I'm not going into the whys they have already been repeated on here many times about the management and the team I've been a season ticket holder for over twenty years so have seen the ups of Adie Pennock and Jamie Day and the downs of Neil Smith and Paul Parker amongst many on that journey
Suffice to say that if Faz and his two colleagues are here next season I won't be it takes a lot to make that statement but it comes down to why waste money on something you no longer enjoy
Totally agree with the above. The mood on the terraces is awful, fans are starting to turn away. Chatting to some fans in the pub who sit in the old stand, they said sone fans were leaving with 20 minutes to go. Only 1 fan seems to think we should stay as we are, everyone else seems to have a different opinion.
I can't repeat it many more times.....please change things now and we may have a shot at staying up.

yes, I was somewhat shocked to read "...here next season".
As I wrote in the Tilbury match thread, "...There have been poor performances when we have got something from the game as much as poor performances when we haven't. As a football supporter I support Wings hoping for entertainment and to leave the ground saying, "that was money well spent", I only recall a couple of times this season when I have even started to feel that way."
I have now let the last two home games slip me by because even though I have six pick tickets in hand, I am not being entertained under the current structure. There has to be change before I revisit PVR
well its clear its not just the management who have got to go its some of the players I read yesterday that a team below us has released 2 players from their contracts and brought over players in so why cant we do the same. Tashin, KSA, Kabba could go and then perhaps we could get Healy back on loan or some others who at least want to fight. The goalscorer situation needs to be sorted but its now evident that they dont see it as a priority. Yesterday Corne scored but how many shots were saved by our strikers-who ever they are. I looked at the stats for KSA he has never really scored goals at any club he has been at-shocking itsnt it

agree it was pathetic again. I have a season ticket but its even worse than watching us loose when Brown was in charge. I think the football being played and the attitude is now worse than when he was our manager. I cant see how we have replaced the competitive players we had last year. Gallagher,Beautyman,Healey,Marsh,Vose, and what have they replaced them with a squad that would struggle in the Ryman. We have nothing to cheer about and the arrogant and annoying Dover fans were given an easy win and it was shameful to see it and listen to there barracking of our team and our area and not feel ashamed because what we had on the pitch played with little pride. Dover are not the best team in the world but we made it all so easy and I would not want to be managed by them if I was a footballer-they have no idea
We have had thick and we have had thin and we have supported through it. However it is difficult to give a sh*t if you feel others in more influential positions don't or seem to be being almost deliberately perverse..
What worries me is that this lot would struggle in the conf south. If/when we get relegated I fear we will plummet further. There's no team spirit and sadly no team ability. The management team are on borrowed time.
Well there must have been hundreds of messages on this site all expressing similar opinions as to the current performance of "our" team. All the comments seem to have been ignored by those we support week in, week out, good weather and bad.
is it time to express our feelings in a more visual way?
i'm thinking of other fans protests, like turning our backs to the pitch at a set time? At least that should get noticed, particularly if the press report it?
That interview explains a lot, they just don't accept that they are failing, it's all the fault of poor decisions by the officials, or the opposition being too physical, or the players not doing what they are told.
just reinforces my views and the suggestion posted above.

From what I feel, see and hear of those walking away, a protest is unlikely to have much effect. Next home match will be dominated on the terraces by our friends from Grimsby, and then by the time our next visitors Barrow come to PVR, the Welling hardcore support may be reduced to less than 400?
Four of my neighbours attended yesterday in my place, two for the first time, they left early unimpressed so most unlikely to return. No doubting Faz's heart is in Welling, but it has turned to stone in this current climate. Come on Faz, do the right thing and let go.
I find it a shame that one of the club's best servants finds himself in this position. Moving from midfield to defence and putting himself as the 1st player named on the team sheet is being spoken about in the terms that are mentioned. However, football is about obtaining points and delivering on targets and with management comes the responsibility and ownership of the team's performance. The supporters that I speak with accept that we may not win the league and we may not be in a position to buy the best players, but, we do expect the team to play with pride and passion for the club that they represent.
Loui lifted the team after the Jody Brown chapter and assisted in our survival last season. I think the club were right in giving him an opportunity to lead us out through this season and I imagine he was given targets to achieve. Although we progressed in the FA Cup and we're still in the Trophy our longevity in this league looks fragile. If we were playing our best players in their rightful positions then it is questionable that we would not be in the predicament that we are in.
For me, Loui has not taken ownership of his position, he has and is naming a questionable team and appears troubled when there is a need to make adjustments during the game. He his a top bloke who I believe loves the club but I feel that he has tried his best and it is now for the Hobbins to make the right decision, that of thanking him for his time and move on in another direction.

Yes this is a real possibility...just look where some other teams have ended up after relegation. It is difficult to understand a situation whereby the club seem willing to sleepwalk out of this good quality league into medium term oblivion? As for sacking the manager...what is the point unless they have someone of quality lined up for immediate tenure? Certainly there is no room for sentiment in the midst of a preventable shambles. The management team seem to have never really functioned since their spat early autumn.
Just surprised to hear "if they are here next season". Next week for me.
although they have not had a full season at the job I don't think there is any room for sentimentality despite the years that Faz has been here how long do you tolerate a situation before a change is made
its the arrogance that all is well is the galling bit. Why do they continue to admit that no mistakes have been made and it's all down to players not listening to instructions, bad luck, poor ref decisions or anything else. The fact is they are out of their depth.
The term out of their depth has been used many times on here and is correct. Faz is a club legend and has experience of playing at this level but the other two do not. However, from their interviews they need to get real. I am all for being positive and optimistic but the way they talk you would believe we are top of the league !! We are in huge trouble and let's face it, last season we only stayed up because Alfreton were so poor and we signed Rosco. Otherwise we would have gone down. With no Roscoe to rescue us and the teams below us now winning games we must be bottom of the form table by a country mile. If the club do stick with Faz they need to help him and bring in an older more experienced person such as Ashby and/or Frost to assist. The other two guys are just getting more ridiculous by each game. I sit in the old stand and the way they handled even the substitutions on Saturday was embarrassing . If we employ Kent League standard coaches that is where we will end up I am afraid. So either move all three out which makes sense as they are all forever telling us they are a team or stick with Faz and ditch the other two quickly and bring in Ashby and Frost. Unless we just go for John Still which I doubt we can afford. Drastic times need drastic measures and for following Welling for nearly 40 years I cannot recall being as down as I was after the game on Saturday .
If we re going to keep faz as boss we need to bring in some experience alongside him, none of them have managed a team before let alone a 5th tier national league team with very challenging circumstances.
Key bits from the interview that I didn't know whether to laugh or cry ...
"We have to learn from our mistakes, and we have to stop making mistakes" - which is it to be Loui? and shouldn't the same apply to the management team?
"I think the God's are conspiring against us" - are you having a laugh Paul Barnes?

Mentioning religion as a excuse for losing in sport should be automatic dismissal...

bringing in a wise head alongside Faz should have been done at the start its too late now a clean break is needed with a new management se-tup with different ideas and access to suitable new players that we could sign/loan. When you look at Welling's history this is all too familiar and perhaps we need to think new owners as well if we are to progress-there have been far too many missed opportunities here in the past and it cant continue as it is. Their silence makes me wonder if they are the right people to still own the club and maybe its best they let go, I think the problems that we have are more engrained and it comes down to lack of ambition and the cheapest option. Unfortunately this is gonna catch-up with us and drop us down the divisions.
It's getting to the stage where relegation is almost the better option! If nothing changes soon we will go down, but if I then watch a match where it's a fair battle, between even sides who are at least trying, I might end up enjoying supporting Welling again. Every match now it's just a case of hoping we might scrape a draw, gone are the optimistic days of expecting a home win each game. I do so hope & pray that the Board take decisive action and we stay up, but my confidence is almost exhausted.
