We've spoken with Groundsman Bobby Ritchie and, despite yesterday's rain, the pitch is in good condition and is having its final preparation this morning. We have asked a local referee to inspect the pitch at 10.15 to help us with any areas he feels need special attention. The local referee will then report back to the match referee who will make a final decision when he arrives.
Now we have time to remove the management and get someone In temporaryly why we look for a replacement. A game two days after another awful result meant we couldn't but now their is no excuse

Make the decision Mr Hobbins.
Doing it after Dover and before today was impossible, we'd have had no stand-in, but more importantly no keeper for the game today.
More fool Braintree for not getting the game on. We've two centre halves injured and are in terrible form.
On the plus side it gives Lokko and Fagan some extra time to recover from their knocks.

Every cloud has a silver lining and all that WingsTilIDie.
At what point will you be swayed?
This afternoon when we might be further adrift of safety?
After another defeat on 2nd January away to Dover?
Fancy anything at home to Grimsby on the 9th?
It has to end at some point, and I'd like to give a new face more games, and the January window, to correct the horrendous errors of the current mob. The longer we leave it the worse it will be.
The vast majority of people seem to concur. In fact, other than yourself, I haven't seen anyone on this forum backing the current trio.

It should have been done two weeks ago. The Hobbins are making this club look a laughing stock with their handringing.
Braintree were obviously desperate to get the game on today but I'm sorry Mr Harding but you have made yourself look a little silly in saying the pitch is in good condition and an hour later, with no rain it has been called off. ps please can you advise our club on appointing a decent manager as you seem to be rather good at it!

I'm still concerned that the last time we recruited externally we had a considerable number of candidates (including Faz and co.), the board were "unanimous in their view" that Jody Brown was pick of the bunch.
Even if the ideal candidate applies for the job, the board sadly seem to have a history of just picking the cheapest option.

its going to be more expensive if we get relegated-sorry meant when we get relegated!
I happened to be up in the Braintree area this morning anyway, for work. With the amount of rain there's been here (which has been a fairly standard amount, not at all excessive), there is no way the pitch should be waterlogged. No other grassy areas have surface water or even look slightly muddy. Their pitch is a joke - this is Essex, not the middle of the Cumbrian floods.

Quite a nice bunch at Braintree and good friends to us - helped us out big time with our ground improvements. However, they do seem to have more than a few problems with their pitch. Looking at a recent picture of the Iron's pitch, it seemed very much like the grass is on top of a very thick, clay, soil which would obviously present problems to any groundsmen in recent weather. And yes, they do seem to have a good record in choosing the right manager.
On the plus side it gives Lokko and Fagan some extra time to recover from their knocks.

For millionth time, If you read my posts I've said that I'd want better management and strikers if the club can afford it.
I'm not happy with the current situation but what I don't want is the club cutting it's nose to spite it's face.
How much money does your drinking buddy (who you claim is a board member) reckon is in the club coffers?
Also considering the current squad is predominantly u21s and that Wellard and KSA may not have the relevant coaching badges, who would you want as interim manager, and then who would you have as permanent manager?
P.S "Anybody!" Doesn't count as a constructive answer.
On the plus side it gives Lokko and Fagan some extra time to recover from their knocks.

The clubs finances are poor as a result of a whole host of other issues I could write and speak at length about, but that is another argument.
I do not "claim" to have spoken to a board member, I did speak to them, and they've been a friend for nigh on 20 years. There is no "claiming" about it, as if you suggest I am lying. The Directors of the club, and any business, are a matter of public record. I am also a member of WUSA, who have a board Director as part of their setup. It doesn't take a genius does it. Look it up for yourself and work it out. It isn't either of the Hobbins family, there's your starter for ten.
Wellard and KSA are two of the first players I would bin. Today. They could have all the coaching badges in the world, they are overpaid and underperforming, putting them on the pitch is a crime, putting them in the dugout, other than as unused subs, is farcical. Besides, I don't want a good coach with a plethora of badges, I want a manager with an arsehole to stand up and make tough decisions, to grow a pair and call it as it is, not twist it and sugar coat it.
I wouldn't want an interim manager, I would have had the foresight, as the club should have, to look back at the farce of this time last year and to have lined someone up immediately, so the moment you sack the three amigos, which should have been weeks ago, you have someone else ready to step in same day.

I think there are a number of managers out there looking for work - Wayne Burnett, John Still possibly Liam Daish - but whether or not we can afford them is another matter. I doubt that Gavin Rose (Dulwich Hamlet) would come to us now, but there are other managers with good track records in leagues below us (one got sacked this week, Jenkins at Greenwich Borough who produced a string of good players when he was at Cray Wanderers). It is a risk, it could cost more - but is it more risky than staying as we are? Look at the National League clubs which have changed their managers, they all seem to have picked up.
On the plus side it gives Lokko and Fagan some extra time to recover from their knocks.

How would purchasing a copy of the clubs accounts from companies house give me an insight into the clubs current financial situation as the most recent copy would be for the 2014 financial year.
At least tell us whether your mate stated the clubs finances were positive or negative.
Also you failed to answer the question as to who you would want as manager.
You stated you don't want an interim manager yet you also want the management team sacked today. Assuming the club haven't already found a replacement, does that you mean you'd prefer there to be no management at all?
scores today looking worrying at half-time. only a game in hand between us and Halifax and they have players who can score. This is really desperate now and the silence from the board make we wonder what the hell is going on. Are they trying to sound out a new manager? how long will this farce go on for there is no prospect of us getting 6 points against Dover or Grimsby so why waste time? get someone else in quickly so that they can take training with the team in prep for Dover
On the plus side it gives Lokko and Fagan some extra time to recover from their knocks.

I didn't ask, for a fear the answer would be less than positive, but I know that finances aren't the reason to prevent making a change at the top.
I would give the job to anyone with a track record asking for it, and there have been people putting their name forward, failing that, Dean Frost and Barry Ashby.
That won't happen, as there is no suitable player to step up in the short-term, another reason the current management team must go, their failure to sign the right blend of players both positionally, ability wise, and age wise.

Well someone certainly needs to do something, it's not going to be easy to get out of the bottom 4, so a real effort / action is needed now, not in a couple of months!
The comedy of the triumvirate of managers has to stop. It is the right time to make a change and with attacking additions we might be have a chance of staying up.
On the plus side it gives Lokko and Fagan some extra time to recover from their knocks.
