Difference is, Brown was handed a problem, tried to get out of it by signing players, and it didn't work, then he panicked and said some things he regretted.
Our management team created this problem themselves, and have showed no regret, ability or desire to correct it.
have I missed some news, but where was Sam Corne today?
Injured.
Shame some of the others don't get injured when they throw the towel in.
Corne unlikely to want to risk injury hoping for a January move. I jest, but if I ran my bollocks off and gave any all like Corne, I'd be reluctant to play when 50/50 to bail out the three amigos.
My fear as previously stated is that the silence, inactivity from the board, and in particular their refusal to publicly back the management team is a sign that the only reason we're "stuck" with the current management team is due to possible financial constraints (what contracts are the management team on?!). Would it really cost more to sack them than bring in this striker we're supposedly trying to bring in, or do the Hobbins prefer bringing in the striker than sacking the management team? It's the only explaination I can think of. After today, if the Hobbins do continue to stick with the management team, then we are definitely stuck with them for the rest of the season. Sadly it will most likely remain to be for reasons unknown. The dilemma we then face is do we continue to slag off the management team and/or players and continue the negative vibe even though it won't make a difference? Do we turn our backs on the club altogether, or do we continue to support the club "through thick and thin?"
Hearing the Hawks fans celebrating Porter being taken off was just embarrassing. It'll be interesting to hear the management teams excuse assuming they're still in the job. Place your bets that they'll claim the first Havant goal was offside and therefore the result didn't count.
Although I've previously bitten my tongue with regards to criticism of the players, I can't believe this is the same squad that got results against Gateshead and Lincoln yet can't beat the team bottom of the league below us. Some of the lads (they'll know who they are.) need to look at themselves and ask themselves why they're at this club. If you can't be bothered to give your all for the club at least give it 100% for yourself. The majority of the squad, as we've seen at one point or another this season, have the ability and potential to play in the league. After today, unless they give themselves a kick up the backside and genuinely give their all in training and on matchday, it won't be long before they're down in the Ryman like all the other players that have come to this club to play just as a paid part-time hobby at supporters expense, rather than a stepping stone to league career. It's up to the players which direction they go in.

So WTID, you admit the management team have no control over what the players do on the park?

Thanks Mr A Realist, I was concerned that perhaps he had been 'rested' by the 3A's but can fully understand your thinking. Good luck Sam, you deserve better.
Sorry, its 6.21pm and nothing from the club on any sort of social media or their website. Nothing to report? Nothing to discuss? No decisions to be made?
Yawn.
Everyone is quick to point out no one will score goals so how are we supposed to win games? We have NO midfield and a player and I us the term very loosely who is a liability at the back who couldn't tackle a fish supper. Yet again a player runs at him and instead of trying to stop him 40 yards from goal backs off and backs off then switches off as the player cuts across the pitch, or passes and makes a run into the box.H&W's keeper never caught one shot today everything bounced back off him but no was was prepared to follow the shot in. I fear relegation is inevitable. We have good honest hard working players who give their all every match, but we also have too many that are just not up to this leagues standard or even Con South standard.

Final comment on today, losing 2-1 and we get a corner. Our goalkeeper looks at the bench asking to come up for it and gets told to stay back. It's not a league game and goal difference does not count. Lose 2-1, 3-1 or 10-1, everyone can see how clueless you are.
Goals win games and we cannot score goals. Please explain how a "Striker" who had played 20 minutes all season was deemed fit enough to start the biggest game of our season against Carlisle but couldn't make the bench today? Shambles all rounf, i expect an announcemne tomorrow, time to go.

Hauling Porter off for working hard but lacking quality, then telling the interviewer how hard the management team are working. Well the three of you are lacking in quality too. Time to go.
Oh b***** it, all going as before, last 20 mins critical.
I'd say 5-6pm is critical. Anything other than a sacking and I will be ringing Mr Hobbins 9am Monday asking him to justify his continued lack of action.
Will the board please see sense.
Please do tell us what happened with your phone call...??
