I hope none of the above.....if it is Number 2 then that late with no time to react would be terrible!....also on a 2 year contract SURELY 5k would be pitiful
It seems that a week or a few days each time before the transfer window closes, causes a lot of aggro to clubs and players. I am not saying that this is the case with Sam (especially as he is out injured) but this transfer window business affords a number of cash-rich or sugar-daddy-financed clubs an opportunity to unsettle target players, initially with unrealistic, low bids, giving managers a headache as they have so little time to bring in replacements. Ok if you are one of the aforesaid big money clubs with large squads, but for clubs run on a shoestring budget it must be a nightmare.
The transfer window does not apply to national south and north league clubs, so why should it apply to the national? Whatever the national league says, it is still non-league football (although there are many clubs in our league who cannot accept that fact) and should not apply in our case.
