BBC weather forecast tomorrow predicts south westerly 50mph winds/gusts from 3pm, switching to southerly 50mph winds/gusts from 4pm, with the 50mph gale lasting until 5pm. Shoot on sight the best policy - and watch out for the Altrincham long ball to Rankine who is good at hold-up play.
I wonder if we will see home debuts for Wanadio and Yusuf- it would be good to see them starting. If we are to get out of this then Altrincham is an opportunity to build from a good 3 points.
Actually, no - and that's the problem. Seriously, gale force gusts will have an impact and we will have to master the conditions very quickly - and find a way of controlling the marauding Rankine.
The conditions will be a major factor, we'll need to stop their keeper passing it out, forcing him to kick long will give us a good chance to regain possession. Equally our defence needs to be ready to play out right from the back. looks like an interesting afternoon.
A true 6 pointer today. Hopefully with the crowd behind Frosty and the players with it being his first home game in charge, we can put in a good performance. If we play like we did in the 2nd half at Halifax, we have a great shout of getting something.

Some positives but team looked asleep for a lot of the first half. Why we can't match the work man like teams is beyond me and too much possession given away.Despite the bloomer Rodak made some outstanding saves and we have 2 good wingers who could give us a lot of assists if we had a target in the middle. Kabba was very lively as he has been of late and it was great that we snatched a deserved point
In my opinion I don't think we deserved to lose, but I aggree he has got his work cut out.Altrincham bullied their way to it, we were unlucky with a couple of shots, but the quietness and lack of urgency was evident. We miss Corne and Lokko, there are some green shoots in Daniel and Wanadio

Yussuff seemed very similar to ofalembi and he hasn't had a great record of late-hopefully he will work out

Was not there BUT is there any case to be made for there being a lot of new players getting used to each other?
yes you hit the nail on the head, I think the owners made the change too late but we have the right people in charge who arent afraid to change it.Altrincham had more of a team ethic but without the thrills of Wanadio or Daniel, if they can get a rapport we might have something.Viadal was very poor today. Ferry looked enthusiastic but his final pass or judgement was off.
Yes and we back to the issue of goals. I don't wish to be harsh but this remains and I didn't see it changing. You are right about end product, but that's beea welling all season and on today's performance I am not sure if there is an answer.
Well to me it seemed like same old, same old. A draw was a fair result as we certainly did not threaten enough to deserve a win, and I think Altringham did enough to take a point. Lots of promise from the team but too many times they pulled out of tackles or failed to follow up the 2nd ball. We also still do not " play" the ref.
We were too lightweight in mid-field. Ferry looks promising, but he gave the ball away too often. We really miss Corne and Lokko. Rankine was a real handful all match.
That must have been the youngest 1st team to ever grace the hallowed turf of PVR and at times it showed. Maybe to late now, but I believe we desparately need an old head to marshall and give a bit of direction to what is a somewhat new and possibly competitive squad. A draw in the end was pehaps somewhat fortunate but at least it gives some encouragement when we go forward to some very difficult games in the coming weeks.

In three words I can sum up everything i've learnt in life; it goes on.
Is it just me I am getting concerns about dwindling crowds and match day sponsors which a request was given over tannoy for forth coming games. I am not sure if it is the time of the year or if it is due to league position and poor performance or both.
On the pitch I felt we needed a bit more bit in the the midfield.
I felt like Alty were there for the taking on Saturday but, in the end, relieved that we got a point (or rather that they didn't get all three)
Can't fault the effort of the players at the weekend but it looked like a collection of individuals and not a team. That is to be expected really as they have just been thrown together with probably only a couple of training sessions to try and get them to gel together. We now have a number of skilful and fleet footed players but they need to learn (quickly) when to go on their own and when to pass. As I have said previously Daniel is a case in point and he is going to be a very frustrating lad to watch but I can't fault him for effort at all. What is imperative is that we cut out giving away stupid goals as we did on Saturday - we need to stop being too pretty at times and smash the ball into Row Z as and when required. Just think that last minute equaliser might then have been a precious winner. As others have said the return of Lokko and/or Gayle would be welcome to add some power and strength to the back four. Having said that Nortei has done little wrong in the last three games and I wonder if there is a place for him in midfield as Ferry and Lee are a bit too similar for me - again the return of Corne sooner rather than later would be very welcome. Hard to judge Yussuf on one game as he clearly wasn't match fit and Wanadio showed some promise but, again, decision making is an issue there.
I am afraid it looked a lot like boys against men at times and I fear we are going to get bullied in a few games between now and the end of April. Hopefully the Dover postponement may prove a blessing as we now have two full weeks of training before a run of midweek fixtures for the management to try and mould these individuals into a team.
