How the hell we didn't win today is beyond me! One up early on and then did the usual and sat back, allowing them to score twice. Keds buried a soft penalty when the returning Martin Carthy went dowm in the box and then he sent over a fantastic cross for Che to tap home to make it 3-2. The football that we played from drawing level to going ahead was probably the best we have played all year, but why o why did we then retreat into our own half and then concede another goal from a corner. With a team of 4 or 5 6ft 2+ players we concede far to many goals from set pieces. We had 2 disallowed for offside (first one probably was, second not sure about) and numerous other chances to put them out of the game.

My other moan is why put Daniel Moore on the bench, an out and out attacking left midfielder and then bring on your back up striker, who hasn't scored all season to play left midfield. Either pick him because he is good enough to play there or put someone else on the bench who you will use

Rant over!

4 tough games against teams above us now. Must get at least wins and a draw to have any hope of making the play offs

2 points thrown away just when we needed to make the push for a play off place.

Maidenhead were all over the place in the first half and we gave them hope by gifting them a goal. Taking the lead just after half time gave them some impetus and their play improved though we were still the better side. Having regained the lead through the soft penalty and a quality goal made by Keds and scored by Che it looked as if we had the points in the bag. I'm not sure that we intentionally played in our own half in the closing minutes and in extra time (I'm not sure where it came from) we again showed just how poorly we defend corners and gifted them the equaliser.

The long and short of it is that we created more than enough chances to bury Maidenhead but couldn't finish them; they created very few chances but with our help they made the most of them. Performances like this will not gain us a play off place and I trust that Ade has/will make that clear to the squad.
