Just back from the game and I have to say we got what we deserved, nothing. After going 1-0 up I thought we'd really press on, but we didn't string enough passes together and resorted to hoof ball.

First half we played well and started the better team, deserved our lead. Then second half was like a different team, totally devoid of any ideas going forward. Yusuf was hopeless, how he is in the football league I will never know. Strange decision to play Barney on the left side, he never really looked comfortable and was then replaced by Joey Taylor. Given results went our way for those teams on the 43 point mark, makes the defeat even harder to take. 8 points behind with 9 to play for but played more games, all but over.

Have to agree that we deserved our lead, but perhaps it came too soon in the match, we just seemed to loose the drive and started to stroll through the match After that.

Certainly all over now but credit to Frost & Co for keeping the hopes alive for a few weeks.

I think some of the players need to grow a pair and realise the luxury days out at Tranmere (as good as it was) is not our bread and butter. You need need to be up for it in front of 600 at Welling in our old changing rooms and poor facilities. Don't turn it on for the big ones. After all you're picking up the same wage regardless.  The fans deserve better than today

so disappointing. Not much fight against a poor team

After such a little run of good form...our confidence up...what a f:;king waste...they started like they knew they were going to lose.....the bottom 4 teams outside of the relegation zone all lost...a perfect opportunity......couldn't string a few passes together.......thot Sam and Nortey played well but we lost the game in midfield....soo depressing I"ve had to get the Malt out..........and that's always bad news....:)))))

All I saw after the first 10 minutes was us chasing shadows. They looked like top of the league we looked bottom. Waste of time winning at Tranmere if we then play like that the next game. Very very disappointing today.

All we've got to do now is to try and finish 21st and hope that a team above us go into financial troubles.

Such a shame after the last 3 games, no fight, not able to string more than 2 passes together, to slow for 50/ 50s or just pulling out of a one on one with the keeper & at 1 nil it could have made it 2 nil or a pen, & we are still in the fight to stay up. After team FAT said in last week interview they didn't want to go into the last game of the season with us looking looking back and saying what if ...... Think yesterday game will be the what if game.

So lets hope team FAT are still at the helm and they can build a team in the old Welling United way ...........

Our best chance would be to announce them as in charge for next season ASAP if they are staying so they can sign the players we want before they all go off to Marbs or fall for the agent patter. Would imagine we will release half of them as it seems Frosty doesn't like a few of the attitudes or their backbone.

I would also think we will have more experienced players to add to the handful of the decent youngsters we have already. Williams, Lokko, Nortey, Taylor, Corne, Lee? Porter and Wanadio or Daniel? If you can add players like Healy and Kargbo and get a striker who could bang 20 goals you can do well in the south and have a decent start to a squad.

One thing is for sure if you do not have a proven scorer (or two) you are playing for mid table or to stay up by nicking a goal in games. You must be better off spending a few quid on a couple of strikers then using up and coming players if needed rather than trying to have 11 "ok" players on the pitch. "ok" strikers get you nowhere, we need to learn that fast.

We all knew we were up **** creek regarding strikers in pre season, we all knew we were up **** creek with the management team in September. Lets not make the same mistakes next season, the number one aim is bring in proven strikers to score goals without that you are just making up the numbers.

Frosty and Ash have proven they can compete in the National League so give them the chance to have success again in the south by giving them the best chance possible of retaining the players they want from this squad.

I think defensively we have a decent set of players for next season in South. MM in goal, back four of Taylor, Chambers, Lokko, Williams. Middle three of Corne, Nortey, Kargbo. It's then up top we need new players.

i trust this management team to make the right decisions with who to retain etc. To be honest I'm surprised people want to keep so many when we er prob the worst we ev been in the last 5 years.

Get the feeling there may be about 4 left!

Number one priority.....Striker
Number two priority....another Striker
Number three priority....goalkeeper

I'd agree with Mark, we must have a goal threat next season. Even when we've been knocking the ball around we've not looked like scoring. I'd go for a big target man who can give and take a bit of stick, hold the ball for those vital few seconds to allow our swift midfield to move up and feed off. Come back Rosco?

Well the fat lady is certainly clearing her throat after that "performance"....

Couldn't understand some of the selections. We have done ok in recent games with three centre halves and so we play a centre half at right back and a right back at left back. Harris could have done a job at LWB without unbalancing the team so much.

Did I miss the pre match ceremony where the Kiddy number 24 was granted the freedom of Park View Road?! The bloke had time and space every time he got the ball and no home attacker or midfielder got anywhere near him all game.

Please please please change the half time tea. What happened to the days when we really attacked the road end in the second half, shots and crosses flying in from all over the place and getting the crowd involved in the game?? We have been abject in most second halves this season but Saturday might just be the worst of the whole lot. If you have stood at the road end this season like me then you have been lucky to see a shot on target and you need binoculars to see most of the action.

Why oh why oh why did we not send a young lad like Saggers on second half to replace Yussuff?? That was probably the slowest centre back pairing we have had at PVR all season and yet we never tested them. Might be a bit harsh to criticise the latest "striker" we had this week but he seemed more interested in their defenders than the ball and didn't put himself about at all?? The lack of quality up front has been well documented - I have been watching Welling for over 30 years and this is comfortably the worse season I have ever seen at PVR for strikers. Lazy, unfit, disinterested, injury prone, immobile and selfish (delete as applicable) With the possible exceptions of Bakare, Porter and Saggers who have at least shown something I hope that, after this season, I hope I will never see any of the rest of them again in a Welling shirt.
