It's been reported on a couple of football pages that he has signed for braintree.

If this is true then I hope MG has a decent plan that does n't include playing our best right back Sam Hatton as a centre midfielder. I thought Corne and Waldren linked up well in midfield.

Yep it's on the conference premier page now. Will be interesting to see what "Fee" we have received.

Don't get this move, unless MG wants to bring Hatton back into centre mid.

I'm surprised it's taken so long for Corne to leave. It was quite obvious with Barney and others going that MG didn't want any of the last season's regulars in his squad.

Still disappointing though.

So Joey Taylor is now our longest serving player, and he is out on loan/dual registration.

The website says the club are hoping to tie up a deal for a striker in time for tomorrow's game.

Very disappointing but not surprised. Many thanks and all the best to Sam Corne who deserves to be playing at a higher level.

This should act as a carrot to dangle in front of some of the currently underperforming players in that if they pull their fingers out, train hard and perform to their full potential then they too can play at a higher level. Or they can just carry on as they are and end up with the pub teams like some of last season's signings.

I think that MG has done this to bring this new player in. It could mean Hatton can play in his favoured position which is why Sam may have gone. I would like to know what the undisclosed fee was for Sam. Man of the match Tuesday as well. Can't imagine him being on a lot of money either.

Always a bit baffling when one of our best players leaves, he goes with a lot of credit for his attitude and performances, good luck to him.

Are you having a laugh? Other players making the step up? Have you seen the last two games?

The ego has well and truly landed at PVR.

Maybe he'll ship the fans off to Braintree for an undisclosed fee, too.

Amazed it has taken this long for a higher club to snap him up. Hope the fee was decent and we have a sell on clause.

Always gave his all in a Wings shirt, deserves to be playing at a higher level, I am sure football league beckons at some point. Never stopped running on Tuesday and had his hands on head when the penalty was given, clearly cared when playing for the club. Will be missed big time.

Well it seems that 4 of last years squad are good enough for Braintree but surplus to requirements for MG..... mmmmm. Anyway! Good luck Sam. Thanks for all your efforts over the last couple of years.
