I believe MG described this as a must win game. I'd say it is a must-not-lose. We desperately need to put Saturday behind us and get off the mark at home.

Great solid display. Get in there.
MG had a close bereavement this week, so all the more comforting.
Onwards and upwards.
As for the pricks who constantly try their best to undermine the team with their drivel, crack on.
Nelson might not be everyone's cup of tea, but he could probably do better with encouragement than abuse.

Still aspects that weren't great but that was so much better. Totally deserved the win and could have won by more. Out of the relegation zone at last!!!

Built on first half performance Saturday...defence looked solid second half and they never really looked like troubling us once Ricky took out their 10.We look like we can score and cause problems....great win against a won 4 drew 3 lost 3 team.I fancy a strong midfield loanee to bolster central mid...Ali looked a shadow of his Dartford performance on Saturday and today..is he carrying an injury ??
Well chuffed :))

Bad move by me as chose not to go tonight but spent time with my mate before he goes back to uni but sounded like a great result. Haven't seen us win the whole season (pre-season included)! Am I the lucky charm?!

Plenty to like tonight. Morgen,Coombes, Delle Verde, look a great combination up front. Better than most teams I've seen so far. PJD is showing he's a good player now. Waldren did OK as did Fuseini. We could do with a Gallagher type in midfield though. (Without the sending offs). Really need to get the defence playing with confidence and dominance. Don't let the opposition bully them. Bully the opposition. The energy level was up tonight too. Saw the game out better. All in all bloody well done. My pint is tasting a lot better tonight.

I might be one of the pricks you are referring to?!

Apologies if I didn't have my rose tinted spectacles on tonight but he was caught out of position time and time again and has cost us points this on more than one occasion this season. He was better tonight but that's not saying much. I would rather call it frustration.

much better as an attacking force we look half decent. I still think the defence needs some form or cover, either from a midfielder or another centre half. It was good to see, and you could see the green shoots at Dartford hopefully we will start to get something blossoming by December. An excellent performance and well done to all the players who worked hard to the end

Very encouraging last night (going forward) and I think retaking the lead straight after half time was pivotal. Our midfield and forwards combined well at times throughout the game and, dare I say it, we looked comfortable for most of the second half although we didn't kill the game off until injury time. Morgan has impressed on his two starts although I think we should have subbed him a bit earlier as he was looking tired. Coombes is a threat as were LDV and PJD who looks like he is going to score a few this season. Had there been a motm I might have give n it to Waldren who had his best game for me in a Welling shirt and seemed to keep those around him playing as well.

A step in the right direction but only a small step. The back four is still an issue for me. You can see the opposition have been told to hit long diagonal passes forward but the time and space the recipient of these passes gets is just ridiculous. And last night, not for the first time this season, we twice saw long punts form the Eastbourne keeper bounce well inside our half - I think it was primary school when we were told not to let the ball bounce from a long kick forward?! With Allen injured since the start of the season and Banton now apparently moved on we have a bench consisting of a keeper and four forwards - surely MG needs to address this imbalance in the squad and get a defender or two into the squad to at least offer competition for places??

On to the FA Cup and hopefully we can translate the performances of the last few games (or most of them at least) into another victory.

Up the Wings!

Much better performance from the team. Going forward Morgan and Coombes look like a great partnership. LDV has a few tricks but needs to pass quicker or instead of a shot on more occasions.

At the back I still have a few concerns, but for the most part we played well and more than deserved the 3 points. You could see at the end with the players huddled together how much it meant and it looks like a good team spirit exists in the camp.

Onwards and upwards, hopefully another decent performance on Saturday at Whyteleafe.

I just think it best to encourage rather than condone. If you have nothing positive to say, then say nothing.

I do however appreciate your frustration.

I was also thinking to myself what if we had gone in 2-0 at half time. How would we have set ourselves up for the second half? would it have been a similar outcome to that of last weekend?
However stupid this may sound, going in 1-0 rather than 2-0 at H/T may have been beneficial as they would have known the game was far from over.

we badly needed to win last night to get a bit of confidence for Saturday as Whyteleafe will be more than up for the game

My apologies, the whole back four have been fantastic this season. Or with the other option the terraces would have been completely silent.

Anyone who thinks nelson is not a liability must be watching a different welling to the one I am, every teams tactics against us are long diagonal balls on top of him, every scout that has watched us and informed the manager must be wrong as well.

Give Nelson a break his was a much improved performance on the whole.

If I'm not mistaken the defence actually held out in the second half so they can't have been that bad on the night!

Nelson was terrible, his positioning the whole game was clueless and he got bailed out by a few good saves. He has a strange obsession with wanting to hold Sean Francis hand the whole game and mark the same player as him.
