HT- we still lead 1-0. It sounds from their commentary that they have been the slightly better side with Lewington having made a class save. Hopefully we can push on in the second half.

Disappointing but Poole are a club really on the up so it was always going to be a hard place to go. By the sounds of it we could have had a second penalty not long before their winner.

I don't care whether Poole is a club on the up, down or side. Today's game - like most others this season - was there for the taking.

We got the penalty which was soft in my opinion but then went looking for a second penalty we were never going to get unless a defender caught it on the line. Some of the dives were laughable.

Large parts of today aside we've looked half decent going forward of late but four of the front six were brought in after the season started. And today,  how many saves did their keeper have to make?

Then we get to our so-called defence. Yet again the diagonal ball found us wanting time after time as did the simple ball over the top. If the manager is prepared to change so many players further forward why is the back four untouchable. And why do they find it so difficult to just f***ing clear the ball?

Very disappointing performance on Saturday especially after leading at half time largely against the run of play.

I don't what our lads are told before the game, or what they put in the tea at half time, but we were very sluggish at the start of both halves. Lewington kept us in it early on and we were asleep for the first part of the second half and everyone could see an equaliser was coming. Not convinced about our penalty but it was embarrassing and unprofessional to see two players argue over who was taking it like a couple of infants in the playground - surely set pieces should be decided before we set foot on the field?! I don't know if that affected Coombes in some way as he had his least effective game in a Welling shirt on Saturday.

Poole might have a good record at home thus far but they are another very limited team at this level but a team that play to their strengths (or rather play on the opposition weaknesses and there are a few to choose from...) They had two tree trunks at the back that we simply didn't move around the pitch and test nearly enough. Although I thought we looked the better side towards the end of the game and might even nick a win, as Russ has already said, we hardly tested their keeper at all??

And I am afraid our defence is an accident waiting to happen. Nelson has received the lion's share of the criticism to date but he is part of the problem and certainly not all of it. Aside from all the stupid penalties we have conceded (at least that has dried up in recent games) has anyone actually scored a decent goal against us this season?? I have seen every game bar Truro thus far and I am struggling to think of one stand out goal by the opposition or any goal that we couldn't have prevented.

Trying to outscore the opposition week in week out may be entertaining but you won't win a lot of football matches if you can't keep teams out at the other end from time to time.
