MG signed every single one of these players on what I believe is an 8k a week budget.
Then they sold him a lie and he should be backed up by the fans for having been had over!
There is no point turning on someone who is going to be around for a while, and pick the right fight: The players are not doing it. God knows.... MG brought in the best manager the club has had in years, and the players are not doing it.
Someone should call trading standards!!!!!
MG has brought in the best manager we've ever had.....but as a coach while he makes all the decisions with picking the team, signing players, formations etc. From what i was told last Saturday only 10 outfield players turned up for training on Tuesday and Thursday. Jamie wanted them fined and a few released, however MG said it was fine and refused to discipline anyone...
Still think he is not part of the problem? He needs to move aside, and bring Daisy in as manager, as he has said numerous times he would do.

From what i can see it has been daisy and harry wheeler on the touchline, so would imagine that is who is running the team with MG alongside, but it is kinda irrelevant. The players have let MG down. If they told him they were good enough and they are not, then that is a lie, or they are living one. From the club side of things MG has merely enabled the club to pay those wages you keep posting, so maybe that is a good thing (longer term!).
Who knows, from the terrace it is just a fans view, and the rest of the stuff is that of a docu-soap if this board is anything to go by.
Like i said, earlier, two games for light relief in the cup and KEEP THE FAITH.........
I really didn't think things could get much worse, today proved me wrong. No heart or desire from players is something that is just unacceptable at any level. Sam Hatton has played league football, he looks like he would struggle on a Sunday morning at hall place. The rest has been said already. Things need to change very quickly.
Wasn't at the game on Saturday so no Monday morning rant from me today which may be a good thing. Suffice to say from what I have read/heard it was none too pretty....
I do have one suggestion. There are a couple of lads currently with a National League outfit who are not getting a look in and might do us a favour. I don't think they would cost too much and, if we can ship out a couple more wasters, then we might even be better off. One is a right back * who won consecutive player of the year awards at his previous club (although that might not be the accolade it seems) and has played consistently at a higher level for a couple of seasons. The other is a young central midfielder who has also played regularly at a higher level than National South and would add some much needed energy to the midfield. They have also worked with our "head coach" in the past and I think the fans would probably take to them as well. Win-win all round as far as I can see......
* Nothing wrong with the current right back in truth but this lad I am talking about could do a more than adequate job at left back which has been an issue all season.
I've only been supporting Welling for the last 9...10 years ?, i miss out on the legends who turn up for our 50th anniversary dinner. But i could see how the club meant to them & the bond they still had as team mates & friends.
Now over the last two & half season the team spirit and ethos has gone from the team, Yes JD & co move on, after The Educated one & The 3 Amigos the players are just individuals as far as i'm concerned.
Now i have nothing but praise for MG and what he has done off the pitch, but on it his failed to grasp what Welling United are aboutMG didn't you look at what JD was doing at Welling, while you was at Bromley with a next to nothing budget & win the league after missing out on the play off final the season before. Its not about big money and players on silly money. Its about inspiring your players, getting the best out of mediocre players, who will give 200% for 95 mins ..Who post on their FB page that they are freezing their nuts off but still turn up for training in the evening after a days work. Why because they feel part of a team and don't want to let their mates down. & come match day they know they have to give 200% or they could be dropped or even worse down the road, now JD was that ruthless and true to his word.
So please MG stand aside and let JD take over recruitment and team selection before its to late, & you keep up the great work off the pitch.
