We went in front after an even first 20 minutes. They equalised 10 minutes before half time. They bossed the game after that going ahead in the second half. We got a fortunate leveller and then a added time penalty. Hatton sent the spot kick into outer space. The ball is currently orbiting Jupiter. Dartford scored 1 of their 4 penalties. We scored all 4 of ours. Nanetti had to retake his after stopping his run up. Overall... if I'm honest Dartford should of won. But a wins a win especially against the travellers.
Positives are walker and Crawford getting game time, the latter looked rather good and walker put in a good shift. A win is a win and we actually showed a bit of bottle after going behind. Tomorrow is another day and who knows what it may bring.
Yes it was "only" the KSC, but after the last few results a much needed boost to morale. Defeat after defeat is habit forming, winning, even against the run of play, might just help the mental outlook of the team, especially if we win again on Saturday before getting down to the serious league fight.
Lets see what happens in 2 weeks time when points are up for grabs
We need wins . As has been said we will have to get 30/35 points from the remaining games to stay up. That's going to mean winning at least 10 games. Bloody hell. Just writing that has depressed me. It isn't going to happen I fear.
I'm sure everyone would agree with you Mark, but the fixtures are there and at a time when the team needs to be knocked into shape, the cup matches may be a blessing in disguise
