From sources close to the club haha, More likely from his agent who is contacting anyone with a pulse.

Maybe Adam will sign a contract, some players do when they are attracting interest elsewhere. It isn't a given he will go anywhere, not many clubs will offer top dollar or contracts for someone who has had operations on his knee, i heard somebody say he as done every ligament injury you can do in your knee including ACL.

The advantage of being non contract for us is if he gets injured we do not have to pay,we are a genuine club so players probably would still be paid if injured even though non contract.

Let us hope that Adam signs a contract that will enable us to get a few quid to bring in a striker and will also cover him if his knee packs in. It has been known before and he seems pretty genuine.

That's just a fact of life unfortunately, he's done a great job for us so we should wish him well when he goes, let's just hope it's later, not sooner.

I know that this happens....shame no fee but I just hope we have a plan for a replacement....there has been talk of one name....lets see if this turns up when Coombes goes

It was his choice not to sign a contract so....nothing we can do

Just as players insist in having 5k get out clauses in contracts. It's either that, and have them for a few months, or don't have them at all and bite your nose off to spite your face.

Well the 5k bit should be gone!

Always the problem is where to find the replacement

I'm sure a certain KSA would be available!

I would imagine Adam would want a more than reasonable contract if he was moving into full-time football with a League club  - especially if he is earning a living outside of football. I do not know the circumstances as to whether he has or has not had a history of injuries, but a club would have to be confident enough to take a punt on him to offer a contract which he would deem acceptable. In the meantime, we have gained a fabulous goalscorer and he can stay and keep banging them in until a club comes up with an offer that would give him the security, as well as the rewards, of full-time football.

Good luck to the lad - if a league one or league two outfit (or even a big full time National League outfit) comes in for him then he deserves his chance to try and crack it at a higher level. Has certainly done the business for us and, although I hope he stays, nobody will begrudge him another chance at professional football.

I am sure MG and JD knew that this may happen and will have ideas about potential replacements who they could get to the club.

He may only have been at PVR for 4 months so far, but he's scored more goals than our "strikers" of the last 2 seasons combined. Let's enjoy him while we've got him and mope about him leaving after he's left please.

Why on earth, a team at least two levels above would be interested in a striker who plays for a team involved in a relegation battle...maybe because he has a knack of scoring goals!
