Very poor today. So sloppy in all areas. I thought the keeper ahould have saved the first, and what our centre half and keeper were doing for the second was clueless. The ball should have been in the carpark.
Lots of players arguing amongst themselves and seeming to have given up today. Not sure the coaching staff can take any stick. Today was all about the players showing up.

Couldn't agree more.
I thought the players didn't work hard enough for each other, therefore space wasn't created and we resorted to hoofing it in the air.
Putting the additional shift in to create space would have allowed ball to feet football.
Something we have done well in the past month.
We urgently need to get some stability in the team. That starts with appointing a manager on a contract.

Just what I didn't want to read. I was hoping the players would rise to the occasion and want to prove to everyone that this weeks events wouldn't affect them. I wasn't there but most comments seem to be saying there was little motivation or desire. Let's get Liam Daish in pronto. Some arses need kicking already
The players need to take the blame - seems Day leaving has given them a nice excuse to fall back on.
That was the overriding impression I had when leaving the ground on Saturday. Admittedly Hemel were a lot better than Margate but the general attitude, commitment and, above all else, the body language were shocking on Saturday.
I have said before on here that I think we need a keeper with experience in Lewington's absence. Girling may prove to be a good keeper in time but he has played five games for us and now been partly or wholly responsible for goals conceded in four of them. Having said that I do have sympathy for him having to play behind those two centre halves...the "defending" at times on Saturday was comical. One centre half whose decision making and positional sense is woeful and alongside him our "captain" who simply can't/won't jump to head a ball and who quite frankly would struggle to tackle a crossword. Just before their second goal there was a long punt straight down the middle which everyone missed and nearly led to a goal and then we had the absolute chaotic "defending" for the second and decisive goal. That's the sort of stuff you would expect to see over Danson Park on a Sunday morning ffs. As far as i can see we have four "defenders" at the club so it hardly matters if their form is good, bad or indifferent as they will be playing the following week anyway. The fact that we have been on a good run masks the fact that our bench for the last few weeks has consisted mainly of a midfielder, three wingers and a striker which is not exactly balanced is it...?!
As I have also said more than once set pieces are a huge factor at all levels of football. having praised Hatton last week he then turned in another insipid performance and I can't recall one set piece that was even remotely threatening. Contrast that to the number four of the opposition who scored one (albeit down to keeper error) but was a threat with his set pieces throughout the game. Both full backs were booked in the first half but YET AGAIN we hardly ran at them in the second half and asked them any questions - absolutely brainless.
Like others I am far from convinced that the current interim management team are the answer (and their respective track records certainly suggest they are not) but the players really threw them under a bus at the weekend. The run over the last month seems like a distant memory now but has put us in a strong position to get out of trouble but there is still work to be done. Time for some strong minds on and off the pitch to sort things out sooner rather than later...
