Agree his attitude is always spot on. Never loses heart and always gives his best. He was double sometimes treble marked today and had to go up a few blind alleys. He could of done with a bit more support sometimes. It wasn't his best game but as you say the positives outweigh the negatives.
Difficult to praise one player out of the team, but his attitude and style certainly worried Oxford. It looked to me as if they had come with a very physical plan to contain the likes of Coombes & Nanetti, but our guys took the rough stuff without retaliation and got their just rewards.
Have to agree that he could have done with support at times yesterday, as mentioned though, difficult to find any negatives from that second half display.
Nanetti was frustrating beyond words yesterday. Kept trying to beat people when he didn't have too. One time in the second half he was put in by Hatton with a brilliant ball and all he had to do was slide it across goal but no he went back to find a bloke to beat yet again. He must have run up every blind alley in Welling yesterday. He improved when he kept it simple as in the third goal but his end product was nowhere near good enough yesterday and he has had many better games for us.
Still Bertie tells me he is off to Gillingham soon....
Nanetti was off colour in the first half like the team as a whole but was far more effective second half with some outstanding play at times in a very accomplished team display with some great goals.
Agree that Gillingham is a tad unlikely for him as a future destination.
He was double sometimes treble marked today and had to go up a few blind alleys.
Which means we had one or two players spare so pass the ****ing ball instead of going up all those blind alleys.
Simple as he kept it for the third goal, Crawford was a mile offside. It wasn't the first of those the linesmen missed, much to the annoyance of the top knot at left back.
